Marine Reacts To Army Boot Camp , in this video I explain the differences in the Army Basic Training to the Marine Basic Training. You will see that the Army Boot Camp is a totally different world from the Marine Boot Camp. Even Though this video is on Marine v.s. Army Basic Training explaining the differences and similarities of the Army and Marine Basic Training. We still work together as branches in the military to protect this great nation. Hopefully you can see some differences between the Army Boot Camp and the Marine Boot Camp. Both Basic Training mold who they are supposed to in the end. So are you team Marine or Army? Hopefully you enjoyed this video and as always thanks for watching.

I can agree with that. I am a 8 year Marine and I can say this, I seen a fight breakout from 2 retired military one army and one marine both were early 40s and the army guy beat the hell out of the marine both were infantry as well. I still believe Marines are top notch but I have a lot of respect for other branches because they still train hard beyond bootcamp we all at the end of the day are equal.

As a whole the average Marine can eat up the average soldier! And I’m old school having served from 1982-89. A log time before y’all! Here’s another reason why the average Marine is better than the average soldier. As a former Marine Recruiter 8411, the attrition rate (washout) in Marine basic is higher in the Corps than any other basic training in army or other branches!

I walked into every recruiting office told each of them I'd just observe how they deal with public, demeanor, how they carry themselves. In a few hours I was set on the Marine Corps..best pressed fitted uniform, no slouching, the way they spoke on the phone no matter who was on the other side, how they greeted senior Marines with respect. Not once did they talk other branches down or say we are better. Within days I was at Meps then DLAB.

The U.S. Army has more jobs than Marines that's why we are so large. It is the most important service branch to national defense, followed closely by the Air Force. Marines get their airborne qualifications at the Army airborne school. We are also the home of Green Berets, Army Rangers, and Delta Force. Thats why we are great. But marines do have more prestige and discipline in my opinion.

Lol y’all sound so stupid, yes the army is bigger and has more jobs, but that’s because marines as a branch leans towards more combat. But, my grandpa was in the army and fought in Vietnam and my great grandfather was too, but to my point there is no greater conventional force in the world than USMC point break period. My grandpa said marines were way better when it came to any thing dealing with combat. Not to mention marines do so with less🤷‍♂️ and get the harder assignments.

Why is it that the U.S.Army is always camped out in every Jarhead's head. The Corp gets the Army's used equipment and gear and the Army has all the challenging schools to go to like Air Assault, Airborne, Ranger, Sapper, Pathfinder, Jungle warfare, SERES, Green Beret selection and Q school, and Delta. I had marines in my Airborne class at Benning who struggle through the course that is really not that hard. Had a Soldier in my unit at Bragg who got out of the marines and came back into the Army and went Airborne and later did Ranger School and he was totally impressed of how much better the Army's equipment and gear was compared to the Corp. I've seen Documentaries of Marine Boot Camp, and couldn't tell the difference in my time going through OSUT at Benning, and Airborne and Pathfinder Schools. The Marines are not funded as good as the Army is, you would think that if the Marines were the "Best" they would be funded like it was.
@davidornelas3326
@davidornelas3326 3 жыл бұрын
The whole point of the marine corps is they strive to achieve more with less. That's why they're not going out of their way to get funding at the level of the army or the other branches.

@@davidornelas3326 I really don't have anything against the Corp other than the fact that not all but most Jarheads I ever met and I've met a few while in the Military and out here in the Civilian world and just seem to always talk a lot of BS, especially about the Army and I just have to set them straight with the FACTS between the two Branches. You get better overall equipment and gear in the Army, we deploy a whole lot more, and we have all the challenging cool boy Schools to go to, and you can achieve more and a better career in the Army too. Lots of Marines get out of the Corp and come back into the Army and National Guard too.

Try being in a Cavalry, Airborne, Air Assault or Mountain QRF unit as an Infantry Man/Cav Scout and you'll see how things are different and way more hardcore. I saw prior service Marines constantly falling out of runs in p.t and other forms of training the same individuals who never shut up about how great the Marine Corps is, like I understand the pride of being a marine but I always ask them as to why some of them transfer to the Army. Being proactive and be professional adults is one of the things that prior service Marines have alot of trouble understanding as well, and the mentality is effective against extremely long sustained engagements. Peace man, were all brothers in the Armed Forces but humility can come a long way with your content
@mvpnews2024

they were prior service Marines....who went army.... think about that..... of course they fell out...they couldn't hang in the Marines so they got out and joined the Army in hopes to find success there and they failed....good, neither of us want them... The reason Marines go army is because they want to go to the easier branch that gets better equipement and its also a branch you can avoid combat in...we are happy for them to go, I tell people all the time when they are thinking of joining... Join the Navy, Army, Airforce or coast guard if you just want the Military experience.... Join the Marine Corps. for the challenge and the title.

Full disclosure: I never served anywhere, not even the Boy Scouts let alone the Armed Services. I think the point Trell is saying is that a raw recruit in the Marines have a much harder time from the get go and not waiting until he or she tries to join a specialized elite unit like the Green Berets or the Army Rangers etc. The Marines on the other hand ARE the elite.

I was in the Army back in the 80s. I looked into each branch before joining. Back then you could get your M.O.S. on your contract in the Army. Air Force, Marine and Navy, you go in with a open contract. During basic training, your leader asses what they think your M.O.S. should be. Just like on Full Metal Jacket, the Senior Drill Sargent announces to each Marine what their M.O.S. is going to be. I noticed that the most other branches that were in the Army, they were former Marines. The obvious they had the Marine logo tattoos. I asked them why they joined the Army, and left the Marine Corps. They said that the Marine corps is small very few slots open for promotion for E-7 and above. Where as the Army, it's the biggest branch, where there is much more slots and opportunities to move up in rank.

All in all this video is not really a good representation of how basic/OUST really is I assume they play things up for the camera, also the video skips a lot of what actually happens in the full 22 weeks. Everyones buttons are different. I feel that age/life experience will dictate the reaction of some folks to the DI. Not everyone is right out of highschool and some may come from rough upbringing. A screaming DI may not even phase them. May even make them nostalgic.😉 🤣

Btw this comparison isn’t really fair, infantry is separated from the rest of us in basic training for the army. They stay with their drill sergeants for the whole of boot camp and Infantry AIT, when we do that it’s called OSUT. everyone else does boot camp which is 9 weeks, and then we ship to AIT which is MOS school. So it shouldn’t be marine boot camp vs army infantry OSUT. It should be marine 13 week boot camp vs army 9 week boot camp. Just saying. In the army, non-infantry personnel don’t go to any form of infantry school after boot camp.

Army basic is 10 weeks. If they're on week 11 they're out of the basic training portion and are at the beginning of infantry training portion(or AIT) at which point the Drill Sergeants in AIT treat you a little better by design, they're not there to teach anymore, they're there to guide, help with admin stuff and also make sure you don't brain dump the basic military stuff.

Depends on the Army MOS you choose, combat MOS’s will have a harder Basic and harder AIT. for example INFANTRY VS COOKS. You will suck alot less if you choose to be a cook vs Infantry. But if you think Army would be to easy? Well theres only one way to find out??

The reason why they give you two weeks is because they have to do like a 1000 soldiers at once. Each day consists of different segments of getting paperwork done, orientation, picking up your battle rattle. Getting fitted for PT's boots and uniforms.

OSUT is only applicable to a few MOS's in the Army. "Standard" basic training is 10 weeks. BTW, those Drill Sergeants using whistles and bullhorns are pissing me off......NCO's should only need their command voice!
