Early on he was scouted to be drafted outside of the lottery, mid to late 1st. I was hyped because it meant he would be around when my NYK’s would pick. Looks like that’s not gonna happen now, this kid definitely moved up teams draft boards in a hurry. And for good reason. He has point forward, secondary ballhandler written all over him.

Kai Sotto @7'2" will be good for Portland Trail Blazers. They need a Center that can shoot, pass, dominate the lane, and shoot 3's. Kai could be that person.

The nba love promoting light skins more than anything. What’s there fascination with white and black mixed kid. I find this very disturbing for the past couple years how they try to make the prototype player a light skin. They get extra love and chances for some reason.

Taking nothing from this kid but I actually agree with your point and have noticed the same thing over the last few years in a few sports. Not sure if it’s just coincidence or if they see these kids as more marketable?

Sotto ain't the best but he's definately got potential and playing in the NBL he is already used to playing men which is a big advantage over college players as it makes them more NBA ready just like josh giddey I see Kai doing really well in the NBA don't worry where he goes in the draft that mean nothing in the long run.
