In this video we take a look at the new 2022 Mid Year introduction of the PSE Omen bow. We go over all the specs and look at all the new changes for 2022. We then shoot the bow for performance, speed, noise and feel.

While I understand you are trying to keep videos as efficient as possible without putting to much unnecessary information into it, but I'd love to see the bows shot at max let-off and minimum let off. I like how you are shooting them at the maximum let off as it's giving a bottom-line for arrow speeds and is opposite of the process the manufacturer will do. I find that while extremely high let-off is very good for long holds if an animal moves on you, I've been busted on extremely calm days from the roll-over into let-off. Mind you it was too late for the deer at that point but it is something I feel higher let-off attributes to that nobody seems to talk about. Mind you, I'm still not planning on going to a low let-off bow any time soon, but I'm sure other people have had this happen too.

At least it's not like the OG Omen that had square cams. That thing's draw cycle was horrendous.

Hey bro. Thanks for your input. I’m tossing up between the SR350 and this omen. My draw length 27.5 inch. My current now is an elite enkore. It can manage 298 fps with 350 grains, let off at 80%. Given that info what would be your pick, the omen (which cam option will be best at my length) or the SR350. I would possibly go with 80 lbs if using the omen so I can up arrow weight a bit. The BOWTECH has great speed and flip disc tech. Deadlock cams clutch grip for a speed bow it draws smooth. Good luck

The Dream Season Decree Ti was ibo rated at 355 feet per second second and at 29” of draw length at 70 pounds with a 387 grain arrow it was putting those arrows through the chronograph at 331 feet per second

I have one that's exactly the same as the one reviewed, right down to the color. First thing I did was remove the fat grip. It's shooting 295 fps with a 458 grain arrow on a 28.5" draw and set at 66.5 pounds. The draw cycle is beastly compared to my Bowtech SR6. It's also unforgiving to torque or creep, so good form is a must. Needless to say, this is not a beginner's bow. I am very impressed with mine and would buy it again. At this time I'm thinking I will choose my SR6 for hunting though due to it being a bit smaller and less finicky to the inevitable awkward shooting positions I find myself in when hunting. Don't get me wrong, this is an AWESOME bow!

@@MrRazorback1975 agreed.. I have a PSE full throttle sitting in the closet unstringed and will prob never use it again. It's miserable to shoot and this new Omen's cams look exactly the same profile. However, it IS adjustable to 90% letoff.. still doesn't look like a enjoyable to shoot bow.

The valley of the draw cycle is longer than others but that's where the higher speeds are produced. Once it's back, the let off feels good and the back wall is rock solid. You have to want a speed bow with all the ins and outs that come along with it to like this bow. With the grip removed, holding the bare riser, it feels a lot like a Bowtech grip. The accuracy seems good so far. I'm keeping 6 arrows in a paper plate at 100 yards. A better shooter could undoubtedly tighten that group though. My set up is producing 88.49 foot pounds of kinetic energy and .6 slug of momentum, so should expect pass through shots on elk at 60 yards.

i crank up if 70 lbi crank up to 75 if 80lb crank up85 l0ve the bow in the west i need speed bow we shoot far

compare to the current PSE Xpedite. it has a bit faster IBO

Not if you compare both with high let off mods. The Xpedite is 352 with high letoff mods.

Actually he was at 300fps with the v3 31. With the 400gr.

Went back and watched a ton of his reviews. The V3 31 is way slower. But the PSE Evo XF 30 S2 cam matched the Omen at 350 and 400 gr and came in 3fps faster than the Omen at 450 and 500gr.

My buddy bought one of the omen bows and its loud as hell and my bowtech shoots 19 fps faster. Both are sat at 65lb and 29 inch draw both are shooting 430gr arrows

Yeah that's what I'm thinking.. I own a full throttle and it's miserable to shoot.. the cams look EXACTLY like this bow. My hoyt rx4 turbo won't be going anywhere soon...

Im gonna go ahead and get the screaming deal $899 you have on a Black #70 Expedite NXT... Which has the beefed up EVO cam and wider limbs. It will smoke... that Omen... With the same ATA And smoother cams. TRUTH.

I’ve got both a Xpedite nxt and the new omen 30” 80lbs and the omen is 12fps faster when they both have high let off mods on.

all those bows you tested cant hit anywhere near their IBO-its a shame PSE always been like that and most companies followed bunch old bowtechs are much faster than that bow like destroyer 350, cpx insanity , reign 6 etc

This bow was shot at 28 in draw not 30..,If it was set up to IBO specs it would be damn close...PSE has always been under the speed advertised...but you dont know that

he said in the video 29", didnt i say pse always been like that -i know more than i care too say but someone has to say something -no inovation what so ever the last several years -which is not a problem they just dont need to lie over and over it gets old at some point or at least it should whatever man -my opinion my problem enjoy

@@tughill4895 PSE bows are one of the most honest with IBO speeds in the shop. They sometimes go above the IBO speeds that are advertised. If you knew anything about bows like your suggesting you would realize that he's shooting a 29" draw instead of 30" and he's using the highest let off mod and that's not how the IBO is achieved.

IBO Full Throttle and so forth, or fastest, there is 90lb and 100lb King Cobra that make Expedition Smoke at 370 fps look slow

all those bows dont hit their IBO either-its all on paper no bite at all.. most true to speed bows were older bowtech bows and could hit IBo of 350 and up all day long and with much bigger brace too
