Your review made me get the MX BRONSON when they released it. I 💯 agree with all you said. This bike is very confidence inspiring, playful, and plush. The climbing is good for how much travel it has. I also have a Transition Spur to somewhat compare the climbing. I’m glad I gave the mullet a try, and I am sticking with it! Again, great job on the review and looking forward to comparison vids with this Bronson MX👍🏼

@Jhonz how does it compare to your Spur? I also have a Spur and am considering buying the MX Bronson. How would you say the climbing compares??
@jhonz2973
@jhonz2973 3 жыл бұрын
The Spur is still a better climber due to lighter weight and felt more refreshed after the climb. I do enjoy the added confidence and cushion of the Bronson. I also came from the V3 and V4 is a better climber. I was not a fast climber to begin with and people pass me even with my Spur, so it was not an issue. I will take the Bronson as my only bike as it covers all my bases for my style of riding and trails available to me in the PNW.

Your Review is the best 2022 Bronson Review I have seen so far. I like to hear substance and you provide good substance. The Trail Bike these days are just so Rad! I can't believe how long the trail bikes are these days, all of them climb fairly decent but at the same time they just smash it on the DH runs. For me, this 2022 Bronson is the ONE BIKE that can do it all. If I did not have 5 nice bikes already, and I needed just ONE bike, this 2022 Bronson is the Bike I would own. Having said that though, I love all my 5 bikes so much that there is no way I would replace all of them for this one. Mullet is truly the way to go for a ONE Bike. I have 2 Mullet bikes, a 2021 Bullit (came stock as a Mullet), and a 2020 Commencal Furious (converted to Mullet), and will repeat what the others have said, that big front tire does roll over and smashes through things much easier; and at the same time have the nimbleness of a 27.5 Bike. Nothing is perfect but Mullet bikes are close to perfect as you can get. For all out speed though, Full 29er is still the way to go. For all out Fun-Factor and Jumping, Full 27.5 bikes are still the way to go.
@dialedmtb
@dialedmtb 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you I really appreciate that! But yeah the bikes are for sure getting massive but they just keep them climbing just as good or better then the last, so pretty crazy! I have a Bullit also and that bike is awesome, so I knew this bike was going to be really good before I rode it. Having multiple bikes is definitely the way to go if you are able to!

@@dialedmtb , My only complaint about your review is the same complaints I have of all the KZfaq Reviewers, that is all y'all have way too much First Person Go-Pro trail footage in your reviews. However, I understand why you do it because I am sure most people want to see that. I am different in that I am probably the only person that dislikes them. The way I see it, I don't want to see "an average regular" Go-Pro trail footage. Only time I want to see Go-Pro footage is from the Red Bull Rampage, World Cup DH Races, Danny McKaskill, or something like that! HAHAHAAHAH!!!!!

I am not sure why they increased the stack so it's even higher than a megatower?! It's like it's near ull enduro geo. If they made it like Hightower front fork like 140 to 150 and decreased the stack, would have been better climber! I am hoping they make a Hightower or 5010 Mullet in few years!

Hey sorry I missed the notification for this reply! But that is tough, does your local dealer have both in stock? I think the medium will feel pretty compact for you but it would probably be a more fun bike to ride and you could move it around easier I think. The large will be roomy and comfortable, more stable but not as easy to move around while riding.

How would you compare this bike descending wise to the latest tallboy ? Of course it will descend better but by how much ?
@dialedmtb
@dialedmtb 3 жыл бұрын
I mean they are in completely different categories of descending. The Tallboy actually goes down better then the Bronson on smooth flowy trails, high speed or not if they aren't super steep the Tallboy would probably be faster. When you get to steeper trails with chunkier terrain the Bronson will obviously be better. Comparing the on the opposites is tough, the tallboy can still go down all the gnarly stuff just fine, might want to just put some bigger/grippier tires on it though. While the Bronson will feel sluggish on smoother less steep terrain. I hope that helps but its tough to compare the two.

I’m looking at buying a do everything mountain bike “All mountain”. I haven’t owned a bike since I was a teenager now 36yrs old. I have moto experience, live in avimor looking to ride the foothills, bogus and McCall area. You think this bike would fit the bill? Have you ridden the orbea rallon?
@dialedmtb
@dialedmtb 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Ernesto! I think the Bronson would be a pretty good bike for where you want to ride but probably not the best. I’d recommend a 29er front and rear for sure. I have not rode the Orbea but I have heard great things!! I would say the Hightower would be a good one but I think they have a new one coming in 3-6 months. Other bikes that you could check out are the transition Sentinel, Specialized Stump Jumper EVO or even the regular Stump Jumper, Devinci Troy, Norco Optic or Sight or some that I haven’t rode but think would be awesome for the area also would be the Propane Hugene, or Rocky Mountain Instinct. Definitely look into the Hugene, for the price it’s hard to beat it seems like!

@dialedmtb
@dialedmtb 3 жыл бұрын
I would say they are close but have a little bit different of a feel. Megatower still feels a little bigger but not by much. I would honestly say this bike actually feels smoother through the chunky stuff then the Megatower felt though. Once they update the Megatower I’m sure it will have some updated linkage going on and will feel a lot better.

@@dialedmtb I have a 2021 Santa Cruz Megatower X01 build. I think they changed the shock tune slightly for 2021 and I have got to say it feels very plush especially because these models now come with the Fox Float X2 as a pose to the previous model year bikes which had the Rockshox super deluxe. I think the 29ers will also make it feel more plush. But I completely agree with you on saying it will feel like a bigger bike where I think this new Bronson would be more playful yet still capable.

Why do KZfaq bike reviews usually show super expensive bikes being ridden on easy trails? That trail could be ridden on a 5 year old hard tail, and I'm not even a skilled biker. IF you have a super expensive, capable bike, showing its capabilities involves more than a green smooth trial.
