Amilcar Mendez, of Beltsville, was severely injured after being struck by a car and sandwiched between the car on I-95 near Perryville. He received lifesaving Stop the Bleed care from Maryland State Police and was transported to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where his lifesaving care continued. So glad you made it!! This made me cry. How amazing you are to put your injuries in the past and work so hard for the future!! For your family. For God, because there is no doubt whatsoever that God touched you, and helped all of the people who worked on, and for you, so you could get through all of the aftermath of that one terrible second. You are amazing. Truly.

I bet the guy who switched shifts feels like crap and yet relieved. The driver showed remorse right away and held his hand. It started there. Fantastic care and even the girls are helping out - perhaps future medical staff!

Man those ICU doctors and nurses are literally like angels from heaven!! The EMTs too man. I laid out there for 30-40 minutes before someone found me and called. This been the worst 7 months of my life... by far, and I've lived a hard fukkin life man. That dude said that's why we do this and I almost cried frl. If any of you are reading this, THANK YOU
