One heck of a nice ride Kate. My daughter had one and got the itch for a Buick and has regretted that decision since. Y'all look cool in that whip! I have my old Yakima Two Timer rack and I'm sure it will last as long as I do. Hahaha It doesn't have the nice built-in lock "BUT" it has a built-in beer bottle opener. Well, it opens other bottles too. It's not like I have a problem or anything. Now go fart around.

Balm Boyette is great! Long drive for us, but worth it. I was thinking of trying Alafia next time. Which one is better?

Both are great, completely different! For me Balm is more about putting miles in and less aggressive riding! Alafia you have more aggressive trails , if you’re in the mood to shred! Go to Alafia 🤘🏻

I've had 4 subaru's over the years but now have a Nissan twin cab ute (you would call it a truck ...... with you bike rack, do you need to have a number plate and lights as the bike obscure the plate and lights on the car? Here in Australia we need this or risk fines from the police ... I've sent a vid of what I'm talking about on Insta

I haven’t had any problems yet. I’m sure if the police wanted to get picky they could, it does block the #plate but some of the lights do show through 😃

Hey guys- nice video. Question- did you get the Subaru that has the automatic rear brake when the sensor detects the bike rack? If so, can you disconnect it? Thanks - just ordered my wilderness ! Can’t wait to car camp!

Don’t lock it through the fork like that all they have to do is remove tire and bike frame and tire are free. Lock goes through frame.

Not long enough to go through the frame 😜 it’s the only option. And honestly it’s a skinny little cable, Can be cut very easy😃

@@kfivemtb i have the same rack it is long enough you have to pull the bigger black section with keyhole out of rack with the cable. Then wrap the cable around frame and connect the end to the black plastic part right at the frame not leaving key part on the rack like in video. Hope that makes sense pull cable out and bigger black plastic lock part out with cable. You are right about being easy to cut but at least it is locked for those without tools.
