Great video. Ridgeline at Boyette is, in my opinion, the best single track trail segment in the state. 1.8 mile option that is guaranteed to test your fitness and tell you where it stacks. I can't think of another trail that can do that...maybe Moonscape, before it was made to be a flow track or jump line, or Rollercoaster which is always a fun rip. Twisted Sister is a great segment, as is Magic Island, but I like to categorize that in to "North Creek with the hard options". I saw Gun Range at Markham in the comments, which is super fun, and Graham Swamp is a fun loop too...Santos has a ton of fun loops, like Vortex or Nayles, but I don't think anything gets the HR going like Ridgeline. Also, it only used to open twice a year but Hailes Trails is a good one.

Funny how different places have different expectations like here in New England we don't even rate lots of the trails unless maybe on TF but it's not marked ... And it's definitely often more intense that anything in Florida but I did have fun at Santos even so

ok brother.. unfortunately i live here in central florida and the trails here are crappy far and not worth driving the distance to risk falling and ending up in a gators mouth its just nonsensical to be in this type of environment ... this is what i call a ride this would be worth driving to kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h6t9qql7qru6moE.html not the wack mickey mouse trails we have here in florida

This is heavily influenced by spring rate, damper settings, coil vs air, bike weight and geo, etc. A much better test would be to take the wheels off the bikes and drop them on the floor from the same height side by side.

You need to run Cushcore much lower psi because its essentially a big bottom out token. If you’re running the same pressure you ran without cushcore and you would be at much higher pressure the second you sit on your bike. It’s like zero fork tokens, then adding five and keeping the same pressure.
@kfivemtb6 ай бұрын
Yes always run lower PSI. I’m now at 15 rear and 12 front. Perfect for me. If I’m at a Jump park I still pump them up pretty solid
@brassmnky337 ай бұрын
Brake levers being up doesn’t make sense until you ride something really steep, then you want to adjust them even further up. Brakes being in the right position when you really need them is important.

What's a good bike to get started? (On a budget)
@kfivemtb7 ай бұрын
1st you need to decide what type of trails you will be riding most of the time, that will tell you how much suspension you need. Most bike companies make great bikes these days. Most important things are to get the right size and the proper suspension for your needs. Once you figure that out I would go on Facebook marketplace, Craigslist there are great prices on used bikes right now. You really can’t go wrong if it fits you. You will have fun! Good luck. 😃
