There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

I own a TORO Timecutter 5000. I wish that I could be the other man in the video. That way, after you told the viewer the positive features, I could step in and tell them the negatives of the mower.

Like the brake module? Or something else? Other than brake module - mine has been alright.

Thank You Nice video. The toro parking brake module absolutely fails and is problematic. Forums, owners pages, and youtube videos all show failures and I personally have had issues with the brake module. Not the sensors - the actual brake module itself is the issue.

I'm trading in my timecutter hd myride 54". should I get the z master 2000 or 4000 60"? Or get a titan max? Should i get the kohler efi or kawasaki carb? I have 2+ acres to cut and I don't enjoy cutting.

For 2 acres, a Titan max should be plenty to do that job but it all depends on your budget. If you want some above and beyond a 2000 series would be that. No need to get a 4000 series for that job.

Do you really need a commercial/light commercial mower for residential use? I'm in the market for a personal mower myself and I too am lured towards the higher end residential offerings out there. But I got to bring myself back down to reality. I have about a .8 acre lot with about .63-.66 of that being lawn. I'm getting the Timecutter 50" with the Kawasaki engine. I'll be capable of cutting my lawn in like... 20 minutes... tops. I assume you 2 acre lawn has about 3x the grass to mow as mine. So... about 1 hour with a 50" deck..... tops. Your time savings, if you don't like to mow, will be with deck size less than what class of mower you got. All out on a timecutter is 7mph... on a z master it's 10 mph I believe. Unless you got a ton of wide open space where you can just open it up for a majority of your lawn..... how often can you..... do you really want to.... go full speed? My 20 minute estimate is assuming I'll average only 4mph on the timecutter. I like a quality cut though. Any faster than 5mph..... you better have stupid sharp blades every mow otherwise you're going to have a ton of stragglers. My point being.... odds are you aren't going to be going full throttle a majority of the time. And even if you are is the PREMIUM you'll pay to just gain 2-3 moh really worth it? I'd say just stick with a timecutter but just get a 60" deck. At MOST just go up to the Titan.... with a 60" deck. Bottom line.... just get a 60" deck mower if your goal is to shave time off. But.... you already have a 54..... is adding 6" per pass really going to shave a significant amount of the mow time? If so.... I bet it'll be more than going on average the 1 mph faster on a z master vs a timecutter or titan. Going from a timecutter to a titan only gains you 1 mph in top speed. The real "jump".... a whopping 3 mph more... can only be had if you get a z master. And a commercial grade mower to cut just a 2 acre property with maybe like 1.5-1.75 acre of lawn to cut - not worth it IMO. Because again, if you're going full throttle the whole time you'll need razor sharp blades WITH a ton of lift. If you don't like mowing I can only assume you don't like... probably never.... sharpen your blades. I'd just go with a 60" deck.

Inflation really hit the Toro marketplace. All Toro Zero Turns are $1 grand more this year than they were last year for the same models

There is the same product zero turn 42 inch toro with Briggs and Stratton or toro engine and has the Same HP 22 and same price, which one you will recommend ?

I would recommend the version with a twin cylinder engine.

I have the toro engine 42 inch stamp steel deck. Three seasons of mowing with no troubles tall.

What about v belt life??? My time cutter was going through mower deck belts in two months??? I finally welded a tensioner onto the spring tensioner to get more life out of a $70 dollar belt. And the eclectic parking brake ($110)went out with less than 40 hours! Now I'm dealing with hydro motor belt popping off. It turns the fan blades are getting into it! Now I have replace the fan blades! My advice is buy the commercial one if you want to mow grass rather than spend all your time working on it!!! Or get a Scag!!!

We are just covering up to 6000 in this video as the larger winged mowers and diesels are a separate branch of Toro that we do not offer.

Can't speak for the new time cutters but do your own research on the reliability of the electric parking brake. I deleted mine because it was so unreliable and I was not buying anymore $150 modules.

Yes, it seems there have been some issues with these after seeing some comments, we have been fortunate to not see issues
