It's been an unexpected but, great fit for us. I am so grateful to have stumbled into Teaching Textbooks.

I thought the mastery element of Math U See would be a perfect fit. What ended up happening is we would get stuck on a concept and then spend way too much time with the concept. We would get frustrated , bored and go through the curriculum slower than expected. With Teaching Textbooks my kids have been introduced to a wider variety of concepts in a short period of time. Since there are a lot of review problems daily they are getting a chance to solidify those concepts. Someone mentioned in the comments that they offer a printed workbook version of the program. I am going to get that so my kids can do some of the problems on paper and then add them into the computer. I looked at TGAB math and considered it because it looked engaging.

@@geekyabode you’re welcome! I do the same for my daughter. It’s just easier. Some days she likes to work all the problems then go back and watch the lesson and input her answers. My son uses a graph paper notebook. He’s doing Algebra 1, so he’s able to do that without an issue.
