Then Karl Can you please explain the reason behind giving the 189/190 visa to offshore people? If that’s the case why would even someone get bothered about studying in Australia if they don’t have an advantage. It’s like luring people in a trap. I mean USA and Canada have heaps of advantages over Australia in terms of parent visa processing, short lead times for visa processing and no confusion as well. I mean if this continues I don’t think it will be a favourable destination to study. I would favour the previous government then who just restricted offshore people from applying.

I have an important inquiry regarding my visa situation. I have been granted a Subclass 476 visa and intend to relocate to Australia. Simultaneously, I have submitted an application for a 491 visa nomination. I would like to inquire about the possibilities in two different scenarios. Firstly, if I receive a 491 invitation to lodge a visa application within 60 days, would I be able to enter Australia on my Subclass 476 visa and subsequently lodge my 491 visa application within Australia by taken in account that I have been nominated as a offshore applicant? How would this impact my nomination? Secondly, after receiving the nomination, if I lodge my 491 visa application from my home country, would my Subclass 476 visa be ceased, thereby preventing me from entering Australia on the 476 visa until the 491 visa is granted?

Unlikely they will remove the benefit of favouring Australian university experience with extra points. In Canada they give you ALOT of extra points much more than the current 5 points in Australia and since they mentioned they are modelling it after the Canadian point system as they mentioned it’s highly unlikely it will be removed.

As Education in homecountry is cheaper than australia, job in nominated occupation is not easy in australia, lt is more benifical to study and work in nominated occupation at home country and after four to five year wotk experience dirrctly applied for pr, above thinking leads to great loss to australian unis,

Hi Karl! Will skills assessment, in the future, gonna continue to be a criteria for Australian PR like 189/190 visa? Or they are gonna abolish it or loosen its requirements? Like a graduate with a higher degree in agricultural engineer - specialization in plant production or another field like pharmacist for example that has no or little work experience.
