2023 Acura Integra Review | It’s Back!

After a long hiatus, Acura brough the Integra back and it's now the entry level Acura sport sedan that offers 200 HP and a manual transmission. It's based off the Civic platform and that's extremely apparent once hop inside and look under the hood. The 2023 Integra tested is the A-Spec w/Tech Package model and has all the bells and whistles available, plus the manual transmission. This is the only way you can get the manual..no base model manual available...that gets a CVT. Let me know what you think!

You mentioned the cup holder getting in the way of the manual gearshifts - Having driven the car, was that a big deal? Or for anyone else? I have a 2006 acura tl 6 speed and it's very comfortable in that respect. Haven't had a chance to drive the integra yet, I just sat in one and I noticed that cup holder and lack of extended armrest. Am I overthinking that or is it not a big deal for those who are driving the 6 speed? Thanks! Great, thorough video! Really like the night time reviews too!

Silly me. Forgot how my own car was set up. :) 06 TL also has cup holders directly between shift knob and arm rest. However, the TL armrest can be extended farther out and seems more level with shift knob than this new integra.

Many people missed the target market of this car. It’s not for tuners or performance buyers, it’s for people who like the civic but want a bit more luxury. Plus I personally think the styling is amazing and the integra name is a great throwback. The integra always was a rebadged Civic. I’m sure at some point a type s will be made but Honda is testing the market.

The people who are purchasing this car with the automatic transmission are actually getting a better value even though it’s a cvt. Normally you pay about $1500 more for a automatic transmission over a manual but you pay the same with the Integra plus you can use remote start with the automatic.

they are targeting different buyers definitely. Keep in mind you can't get the Limited slip differential with the automatic- its something that helps a lot if you want a sporty car and it's not a cheap add on in the aftermarket

Good video, thanks. I'm thinking about ordering one of these around January, it'll have to be CVT though which doesn't seem AWFUL based on a few other videos. I don't know how to drive stick and besides there is just WAY too much traffic where I live to be bothered with a manual.

Just got mine and it's an amazing daily driver! I was able to pay MSRP for my Integra, while the Si is marked up at every dealer near me.

I paid $2k over MSRP, but I got the exact specs and color combo that I wanted (Cerritos Acura).

I think the main appeal of this car is the 6MT. If you go top trim but get the cvt….you may as well get a lower trim tlx

I love the acura brand, but honestly I have had issues with the electronics on my last 2 acuras (including this one). It might just be a NY thing. Aside from that the cars (I've had 21 tlx) are always a fun drive and very comfortable. This CVT transmission thing is, however, something I can never get used to 😂😂.

I agree with you about the issue that if you want to get a 6MT. Unless you plan on buying the A-Spec w/TECH pkg. The top of the line package which blows. I guess, Acura/Honda logic is the you really want a 6MT then there is a Honda Civic Si. I guess?

For the price, it’s disappointing that the back seats are vinyl instead of the faux suede, as well as the single map pocket on the back seat.

I was going to buy the Honda Si till I found out how much these dealership are charging mark up, I’m talking about 5-10k. Sure you can find it at msrp that’s if your really lucky or have to order one and it can take up to 6-12 months and that’s even if the dealership are willing to let you order at msrp. So for the price I went and got the integra at msrp. The Acura dealership in houston are charging msrp some will charge some bs dealership accessories but it isn’t in the thousands from what I can recall.

Lack of ventilated seats and rear ac vents in a car that costs this much doesn't sit well with me. Otherwise, I do see some value in the Integra

These are 2 things that are deterring me a bit. Seems like small things for a luxury brand like acura to add. Almost feels like they were nerfing it to make room for another trim down the road...

I disagree, I think it’s more of an acura product than a honda civic. They did a great job adding some compliance & luxury here.

Clearly some people have never had to drive primarily in city traffic. It's not fun driving a 6 speed if you never get beyond 3rd gear. Also, parallel parking stinks with a manual. The CVT is fine and gets better gas mileage. The beauty of the Integra is how versatile it is for different people.

It’s not bad but I don’t see the value over the Civic Sport Touring. The hatch in the civic has the better opening, is also softer than the Si, and I prefer the simple civic interior more. Yes you get adaptive dampers and a better stereo but the Civic ST is already so good in both ride and audio quality it’s hard to justify an extra 6-7k on top for minor improvements. I also think the civic hatch looks better, having seen both in person in a few colors.

Acura's els sound is really good. Its definitely better than anything you can get in a honda. Those acura seats are great too

I tried to buy a civic hatchback touring last week....I live in Nashville and called all Honda dealerS within 5 hours of me...I was ready to put my deposit down on the civic when I thought what the hell lets just look at the Integra...well come to find out I can I can get the Integra with the Aspec with Technology cheaper then the Civic Hatchback Touring..WTF??

I also went sport touring. More so because the Mrs will also use this car. The dealership did add a bunch of stuff to it but no market adjustment fee. Unless you count black badges for $800 a Market adjustment. I kinda do. Even so they look good on the white paint. The Acura dealership ( right next door) had $13.000 dollars worth of crap added to the Integra, pushing it to 50k. Yes the S.T was the way to go

@Cleanneon98 Sounds like you are the intended customer base for the Civic, which makes sense why you dont see the value here. You should definitely go with the Civic in that case because it is excellent. Just make sure you dont get taken for by the Honda dealers with the heavy mark-ups on Civics right now.

A Spec with Tech Package is $5k more than the Civic Touring; for that much more you get memory drivers seat, driver side lumbar, rear heated seats, and 20hp. I'm not sure all those features add up to $5k.
