Agreed, hopefully with ktuner we go from 355 to around 550. I honestly feel like that's the perfect sweet spot, but I also wonder how the sh-awd takes the power.

@VIC It's also the cheapest of its competitors. And while it is not the quickest in a straight line, it is still quick.

Touch screens are over rated.

@@ArtyLowery24 surprising a decent amount, look at lexus’s IS series as well as other cars like the Type R, GR Supra, and Hyundai Sonota N. Might not have as much power, but you’re definitely getting more for and price you pay.

@@andysit622none of those care except the Lexus are in the same class. And the Lexus that’s the same price point as the Type S has 311hp from a 3.5V6, so the Type S if quite a bit faster

Compared to other ipad dashes, this one is rather subdued. Plus, since you don't have to touch it, it feels more like a screen and less of an interface. The touch pad works great.

True. The BMW M models are a different animal. High performance and outperforms most cars in terms of speed/performance. Acuras are good cars in term of reliability and longevity. Acuras performance on this car is good. However, it’s overshadowed by its rivals like the Infiniti Q50 and Lexus due to its extreme weight. This type s weights like 4200 lbs because it’s a bit too heavy so its not fast as competition. Also, it’s not on the same level in terms of performance such the BMW m models and other European car brands.

@Joe Smith the IS500 is in a completely different class. This would be more in line with the IS350.

@@Dis2good this is what you and I know and it’s also what Acura knows when they price this vehicle. If you’re leasing a car, there are far better options for you but, if you plan on buying a car, paying it off, and want another six or seven years driving it to 200 or 250,000 miles without a shit ton of issues, this is where it’s at, maybe with Lexus joining the conversation as well.

@Toni J I like the infiniti. But the biggest cost to own a vehicle is depreciation, and that makes the infiniti a no-go for me. The acura will hold its value significantly better making the total cost of ownership cheaper.

I think they did it because of how American people mentalities are. American people are very selective on brand name. I think more so than any other people in the world. 90s and 2000s Honda were not that luxury looking or feeling. They were just well built cars. Modern top trim Honda Civics and Accords can pass for entry level luxury cars. I personally think now Honda should merge the cars with Acura at this point. Acura still makes amazing cars but is falling behind same as infiniti. Only Lexus has set itself apart. You also have to remember that the majority of buyers do not know Acura/Lexus are actually made by Honda/Toyota. I remember telling this to someone at work one time and they did not believe their Lexus was made by Toyota. Acura sales are still okay.

That’s because, with the exception of the Integra, they don’t share platforms nor technology anymore. They are different cars.

Well of you're looking for Speed/performance then this just isn't the car,and never will be. Like you said pretty much everything can beat this thing. Guess Acura doesn't give a shit about what Customers want kinda like every other manufacturer at this point.
