The 2023 Audi A8 has landed, but is this premium mild hybrid car really a rival to the likes of the BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S-Class or Lexus LS?
Audi has done a lot of work on the mid-life update to ensure improvements to the mild hybrid diesel engine, and safety and multimedia tech, as well as exterior design.
The five-seat sedan is a favourite of hire car and limousine operators across Australia and a quick spell in the second row reveals why.

Both the 7 series & MB S class oilers can now only be ordered as a special import for here. The A8 tdi will only sell maybe a dozen of these a yr & mainly to HC companies etc

I also review the Audi A8 and I must say the face-lift looks good! But it looks more like an A4 because of its headlight 😂 the Audi A8 is very humble, but loaded with techs 😎

Yes, forever #3 compared to S and 7, unfortunately in this market, Audi’s craftsmanship is not well regarded as S’ luxury and 7’s tech advancement.

200K plus now, 3 years later its under 100k, Nice car it just tanks to much to quick.. Same for Benz & BMW

This, cannot be compared to Panamera and Quattroporte. Those two are sport sedans while this one is luxury sedan.

Definitelt third to the other two. It already had Problems standing out against the last generation S-Class and 7 Series (wich are these Cars real competitors due to the age of the A8). But against these new Cars from its Competitors it doesnt stand a Chance.

Exactly. Audi knows this which is why they're going all out on the next generation as an EV.

@@MercOne Well im definitely excited. I like the Etron GT. But time will show if it is as good as the new I7 wich might be one of the best EV's ever released to this date.

There is no hope for the A8 as a ICE vehicle. The war between the 7 and S is killing this generation A8 which was a flop to begin with. Now when they introduce the next generation as an EV with a killer design, the EQS and i7 will have some real competition.

I would take this A8 over new BMW 7 series without thinking. 7 Series looks hideous in person and it's huge design failure compare to previous generation.
