Welcome back to Hearts of Iron 4. Today we have a new mod called 2023 but 1936 where the world has been changed to have nations modern borders but still set in hoi4 1936.

I'd much rather they kinda go back to how it was with the military industrial stuff. Some of it is cool but it's a lot of clicking and it's really annoying that when I upgrade a tank one for example I need to update the tank and lose production. It also slows the game down as when playing a major it seems like they're always popping up. From what the bonuses give you it doesn't seem worth it if you're not trying to min/max stuff. Also it seems like something a new player would have a torrid time with.

im an eu iv veteran and just got into hoi4 yesterday and oh boy, is this game all over the place. I hate how stupid it makes me feel, in eu iv I have it all up my sleeve (tho even there there's a LOT of clicking and micromanagement that has crept in over the time) but here its like everything is everywhere and it's so overwhelming

Always wondered why that’s not possible… Loved the idea of modern borders but normal tec. But I think you should change the focus trees. Anyway, better than alternate history mods!
