How do you make the full-sized luxury SUV Escalade even better? You put a supercharged 6.2L V8 making 682 horsepower under the hood and create the first ever Cadillac Escalade -V! The V treatment is more than just an increase in power and torque, the Escalade-V brings larger front brakes with 6 piston Brembo's, retuned Magnetic Ride 4.0 with standard air ride suspension, a dual mode exhaust that makes a previous generation CTS-V sound tame. This 3 ton luxury rocket has launch control, doing the 0-60 run in 4.4s and through the quarter mile in 12.7s at 110mph. One of my favorite parts of the V is the dual personality, in Tour mode it feels like a plus Escalade Platinum, relax with handsfree Super Cruise, enjoy massages seats and a 36 speaker AKG sound system. Then hit the V button, which drops the suspension by 20mm and sharpens all responses and the V turns into a monster. We had the awesome opportunity to try out the new 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V in Arizona last week, this SUV is seriously impressive, enjoy this review and check out my walkaround video on the channel too!

There we go! This is the one I’ll be getting. Black on Black with all of the optional bells and whistles that don’t already come standard on this Beast. Back in 2017 I rented the Escalade's cousin the GMC Yukon Denali. At the time my current car was a 2010 Chevy Impala. Not used to something that high a big. Every time I pulled up to a stop light that was like move out the way B....😄.Even when pulling up next to a Nissan Armada and a Toyota Land Cruiser. Something about the GM SUV demand Attention. Especially the Escalade

I’d rly like to see this compared to the new Range Rover performance and features wise but honestly when it comes to size the Escalade especially the esv will always be in a league of it’s own untouched by any European companies imo🤷🏾‍♂️

Haters will always hate no matter if it was a Ferrari or a Bugatti, there are always haters for everything. The fact is that the Escalade presents a very big threat to any luxury cars, including Rolls-Royce, and Bentley.

The naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 is a great engine but it honestly held the the Cadillac Escalade back. This is exactly what the Escalade needed. It would be nice if they offered a lower output version of this hand-built supercharged motor in the Premium Luxury trim level similar to the CT5 550T Premium Luxury with the upgraded twin turbo V6 - a lower output version of the CT5-V’s power-plant. Escalade customers deserve the option.

I said the same on GM Authority for those who want traditional luxury with the bright work. Premium Luxury Platinum with this engine would be epic. Do you remember the CT6-V and Platinum? Both had Blackwings with the detuned engine for the Platinum.

That is sorta where the idea stemmed from, that was the first example of modern Cadillac giving customers the craftsmanship & power of a hand-built twin-turbocharged V8 to compete head-to-head with AMG. I also like the fact you don’t have to get a CT5-V in order to obtain the twin turbo V6 engine in the CT5. The Escalade definitely deserved the V-series treatment. This model should do really well for the brand, but the Premium Luxury receiving the option of a detuned version of the supercharged 6.2L would also do great.

This kind of vehicle isn't for potential buyers. These are for those people rolling in cash and are ready to write a check for the full amount that day, markups and all. This is in the realm of g63 amg type of stuff where for those buyers, money is not a thing when you want something. Not meant to be a volume seller. Exclusivity is part of what you're paying for. So probably not for you or I lol.

We know economy is going to hell when car companies bring very heavy thirsty expensive vehicles to market at high prices. Remember during last recession Excursion and Hummers came to market right before financial meltdown. Now with inflation at decades high, Grand Wagoneer, Raptor V8, and this Escalade come to market. Get ready for years of beat downs economically.

all em ",GO,GO,GO" Mods are gr8,but, how about the BRAKES. A vehicle like this,can only provide only so much brake power b4 fade comes on,due to it's weight. I hope I'm wrong,but brakes are just as important.

You would think that they would have tried putting a V8 in a Bolt as well. I love this thing, but I can’t help but feel that the reason why it can’t go rwd is because they didn’t bother beefing it up. Would it be senseless in rwd? Yes, but so is the vehicle itself. It needs to be laying fat 11s in front of preschools after picking the kids up

@@EddieX My Sierra 1500 Denali has the 6.2L V8 and takes Premium. If you out regular 87 in it, the ECU cuts ignition timing and reduces horsepower. With the high gas prices, fill us have been a little painful.

Exactly. It looks cool but no one is talking about the gas in today's market Is different from yesterday's. Plus you have to consider the resale value when the used car market tanks. And let's not get into the extra maintenance for a supercharger. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Same thing with the 2022 Lexus LX600. It has the same platform as the 2022 Tundra. The Tundra starts at $38000 while the LX starts at 88,000 and goes up to $130k. Man they are making a killing on these vehicles.

@@EddieX Cant imagine trying to feed this beast and it would hurt. And in Cal from what I ve heard they only let you buy 100 dollars of gas at a time so you have to go back to WAWA a lot more which is a forgetable experience. I have a Tesla S and I plug it in at night when the electric rates are lowest and save a lot. Id say get a Tesla X which is really big and get the performance model which is really really fast and a lot faster than this Caddy and you stll dont spend much on energy. Ive seen them wrapped in Deep Purple Metallic and they are amazing. Just my two cents. Save your money and do this.

GM is exactly who your favorite automaker wants to be if they have any presence here in the United States. Including Hyundai Motors, who actually have copied GM the closest in recent years. Down to Cadillac’s signature vertical LED exterior lighting (Palisade), and their curved dual/triple screen displays (EV6). Remember that! Lol.
