This is a beast of a SUV. Agree with you on having heat extractors on the hood. Cadillac also should have put wider tires. Surprised they stuck with the same 275 width tires. Also Lori is always coming through with the smooth camera work.

They already ditched 4way lumbar support to 2way, also ditched express window-up on second row each window. I just spoke to them saying upcoming 2023 model will be less features than 2022. Basically we as a customer will have to pay more for less. 6 figures car functioning like a Honda civic. I'm not really sure with this one.🤔

Spot on man. 150k+, no super cruise at launch, no automatic roll up on rear windows, no inspiration on the interior. Plus I don't think the infotainment center is future proof. Meaning over the air updates like upcoming vehicles will be receiving. Exterior changes this V has, will be coming to the 24 sport models. I have to decide soon as I have a down payment on one with guarenteed allocation once they get word of it. I just have to decide, do this now or wait let's say for the 25/26 models but risk not being able to secure one then. If I pass, I'm looking at the 2023 BMW X5 M comp with the new V8 engine made forgot and new i8 infotainment.

For 150000 plus $ you can get the Alpina xb7 fully loaded and get better performance( an SUV not based on a truck chassis) and better luxury. I like the Escalade a lot but is 15-20 000 $ more than it should be….

yes but you cannot fit an 8x4 sheet of plywood in the Alpina. You can in the Escalade. I can also confirm that at least with the previous generation, this will tow all day at or even above it's rating. You'll have to pick your priorities between the two but once you have that sorted are you really going wrong either way?
@JohnDoe-us1ek
@JohnDoe-us1ek 2 жыл бұрын
@@dcsteve7869 Yeah because majority of the people buying these are going to be putting material in it to load up or haul to their home or job site. Same thing with towing. Very rarely do you ever see anyone towing crap with their Escalade, at least these new ones.

@gabrielm8043

I think @John Doe is right . Virtually nobody is hauling construction materials in their Escalade and when it comes to towing , Joe was saying 7000 lbs for the Escalade in the review, while Alpina is rated at 7500 lbs. So they’re evenly match. I don’t think the Escalade can touch the Alpina when it comes to refinement and performance. The Escalade is bigger and more in your face ,witch is fine, I like that …but is to expensive. It’s getting to close to the big players in the luxury SUV. The Bentayga starts at 165000, the fully loaded Alpina barely goes over 150.

Now this Cadillac is worth $151,000 because unlike a Range Rover or Jaguar, its going to last for 10 to 15 years, properly cared for. You cannot keep a BMW X7, Audi Q7, Mercedes GLS or any other foreign buggy for more than 3 years without major repairs like cooling systems and electrical systems going down. I know. Should have had a 2nd row console that empty space doesn't look good..look how nice it looks in the grand wagoner...Cadillac also needs to start putting real clocks back in their cars.

No fog lights? Side orange reflectors not there? Required in my state. Is this the 6.2 engine that has rod problems and has been stopped from building in GMC and Chevy?

@@RaitisRides I wondered if it was just a hotrodded up 6.2 engine. I love the old 6.2 engine before the multi-valve fuel saving chip. You can feel the power. I grew up in corn country. Paved back roads with nothing to stop you and everyone (boys and girls) drove tractors and pickups since your feet could reach the pedals. Only the townies had to learn to drive in drivers ed; farm kids learned how to pull out of a spin, do wheelies, blow smoke, we had a great drivers ed teacher who knew how to keep us interested.
