Glad you watched the video if you were planning to get a Pacifica, I would steer clear of anything from 2017 to 2020 as they had issues in 2021. They got ahead of the issues in 2022 they were almost all gone hopefully by 2023, the year I got,they’re all gone, so far I have 16,000 miles on the vehicle with no issues

Right! The lighter the vehicle, the better the fuel economy. Plus they get extra carbon points. When the points reach so much then they get kicked backs from the government. It’s a huge business.

Oh not so! These spare tires are designed (recommended not to) go more than 50 miles. After 50 miles could subject the AWD drive train to damage. These spare tires are supplied with earlier Pacific models. Thereafter, they quit supplying them to reduce weight so as to increase fuel economy to meet government requirements and to cut costs of an already expensive automobile. They supplied the newer Pacificas with self sealing tires in case you ran over an object that would puncture through the rubber. Hence the name “self sealing “. If your Pacifica came without self sealing tires, then they supplied you with a tire inflator kit that would inject a fluid to seal and pump up the tire. Many automakers even now supply small donut tires with an AWD vehicle. There is always a mileage limit on how long you can drive on the donut tire (that is not the same size)on an AWD before reaching a point of damaging the AWD system.

I bought the spare tire kit off of eBay. You find them on there periodically. Right now there are two or three of them posted on eBay site. They are expensive anywhere from $700-$800 but they are there. Just type in “Chrysler Pacifica spare tire” in the eBay search bar and it should show up as you scroll.

@@bulldogfit1584 don’t know for sure not recommended for all-wheel-drive with 20 inch wheels. I suppose it would work with 20 inch wheels as long as you did not go over 50 miles or 35 miles an hour. Period but like I said, I’m not sure about any of that.

No, you will not be able to fit a full size spare tire in that hole. I’ve watched videos on inflating the compact spare tire and it’s rather awkward, and it does pop and it seems like it’s gonna come off the rim, but it won’t. That’s what I saw on some KZfaq videos.

The Jack and Handle came with the kit. Also with the kit I bought, came with the tire inflator kit. This was in july sometime and I paid $600 with shipping. There are several Kits on ebay right now. But the price is now higher. ($650-850) Some containing the whole subang and some missing a jack, or maybe a handle. Anyway, I am totally relieve now that I know I have a spare. Money was worth the "not worry" syndrom" . To me anyway. Different strokes for different folks, right?

Some models have it and some don’t. It will definitely work in a pinch for sure. I think models 21-24 don’t have them anymore. Had to purchase them separately.

Wow, that was quite a story. Glad you was able to help out. Yes you feel pretty vulnerable without a spare tire back there. Mine did not come with an inflator kit either because they are self sealing tires. If you did not have self sealing tires, then it would’ve came with a self sealing kit or maybe even a spare tire depending on which model. Some models come with a compact, spare and the self kit and tire inflator. Got to have that tire inflator if you have a compact spare.

No, definitely a full-size tire will not fit in there. And a temporary size tire, I don’t believe will fit in there. This is called a collapsible spare tire and its measurements are totally different from the other two. The collapsible spare tire is designed specifically to fit in that cavity.

Got it on eBay. The cost around $700-900 now. I bought mine around $600. I got the whole kit for that. You can buy each item separately on eBay. There is a few on there right now. The OEM ones cost around 350-400 hundred dollars. But now you can’t get them. Do a search on eBay for “Chrysler Pacifica spare tire”. Look carefully at the spare tires and see if that’s the one do a little research.

Right the spare tire kit is not available from the dealer. You can find them on eBay where I bought mine. Rather expensive now at around $700+. I paid $600 with free shipping. I see there is a couple on there now. Also you can each part separately when they show up on eBay.

I am pretty sure that a spare tire will not work in a hybrid model. Like you said the battery is in the way. I wish hybrid models came in all wheel drives. I would’ve bought one.

I just looked at the number you gave me and the one on my video and it shows 160/80/17. I found one on eBay, actually three on eBay,and it shows that same tire size for that part number. Through time, they have changed and updated the part number to different part numbers. Adds a lot to the confusion. And yes, I agree with you. The spare tire alone cost way more than the kit. Unbelievable! How could that be. But that is the way it is. if you do the research, you will come up to the same conclusion. just out of curiosity, I’ve been watching eBay as these tire kits pop up. They are rather expensive.

Also, I believe the tire size is 165/80/17

With all that confusion if you buy one, just make sure it’s the right tire size. During my research, I found a lot of bogus people trying to sell an item with the right part number, but the wrong parts.

I actually got mine off of eBay for $600 and free shipping now they want $700 and $100 shipping but there does seem to be a few popping up here and there but they don’t seem to be selling all that fast.

Believe it or not, I bought it off of eBay the whole kit. You cannot get them anymore as they are unavailable from the dealer. But the price has skyrocketed from dealer price of around $350 to around $700. There is about three of them on eBay right now for sale. The panel. I also bought off of eBay used. But I noticed they are not coming up for sale on eBay at all. There are a couple of dark/black ones on there for sale but I needed the tan colored one I have been watching for one to show up and they just have not showed up since I bought mine. You may be able to order one from the dealer I’m not sure
