Honestly the STX is such a good looking truck. Always loved the STX paint matching and grille designs for the last several generations

I have a 2018 STX Crew Cab with the 2.7 and I love it. Has plenty of power and it surprises people with just how quick/fast it is. Even after 62,000 miles, it hasn't given me an ounce of trouble.

The 2.7 is one of the most underrated engines from Ford.I had the first generation, excellent engine.It gets a bad rap because of its size,but it is more than impressive

Ben, I retired 3 years ago and can no longer afford the top of the line trucks. I enjoy test like this one more of the entry level. I watch your channel daily, please keep videos coming.

The STX will always be the best for its value. Sharp looking and the right amount of stuff inside.

Chevy guy here. I have one of these as a company truck and it has totally changed my opinion of ford. I average 20mpg mixed with all the power you need. 2020 model with 84K and only had tire’s and oil changes. Solid truck.

I got a 22 STX with 24k miles on in it Oregon for $37k came with a ton of extras. Love the truck!

Just bought one this past October and love it. I went with the 2 wheel drive…didn’t need a 4x4. It has plenty of pep, tows my 18ft bass rig like there is nothing back there and I get 22.2 mpg mixed city and highway. Paid right at 42k. Awesome truck.

I've been considering ordering this exact truck. Pricing still seems too high. This would be reasonably priced at $45k.

Feel like this is the price we should be paying for a loaded XLT.

My 2021 STX (same generation) with the same engine/cab configuration and 4x4 was only 47k msrp. Mine even came with the onboard generator and pro work surface and tail gate handle and step.

I love my 2023 STX & for $43,500... I am not complaining!

Great video! Love seeing the baseline trucks get a review! I was very close to buying a 2.7 last year. I test drove the 2.7, 3.5 and 5.0 and feel like the 2.7 was smoothest. Ended up buying a 5.7 Tundra instead of the F150, but that 2.7 is underrated

I have a 2022 stx with the 2.7 amazing truck best transmission I've ever driven. Had a 2014 3.5 ecoboost and this is way faster better shifting. Tow over 10000 lbs all the time no problem. Very pleased with it got it for 46k with 2000 miles on it .

More options means more issues down the road. I have the 2016 4 X 4 sport with the 2.7 V6 it's a great truck. Gave up on Ford a long time ago, but impressed on the fuel mileage of this V6. Since i only ever put a motorcycle in the back it is perfect for me!!!

I wish the XL came with a power rear slider window. I personally love the rear window. Even a manual slider on the super cab would be exceptable.

This is the only pickup I wanna buy it Ben.

The only proublem i had was when the turbos spooled up it got me a ticket from state trooper took awhile to catch up but ventually i got the ticket.

I continue to be in research mode with the plan to buy the end of 2024. If I go with an F150 to tow our small camper and to haul camping gear, the F150 will have the STX Package. Love the look and the value. Not interested in luxury trucks with bigger price tags and less payload.

This powertrain is the one to get for the majority of f150 buyers use cases.

I like them….I don’t mind the cloth seats….my brother n law got a loaner from Ford with the 2.7l and ot really impressed me for how fast it was….the only down fall I wish the gave you the option for led headlights and fogs….but I was thinking this or a lariat ….

And now 7 months later they’re down to $39k brand new where I’m at

Just picked up a '23 and love it...had a '16xlt 300a package(basic)with a 1st gen 3.5 and it was a rocket,but really liked the look of these STX's..the '16 just rolled 107k and started loosing coolant,oil loss and leaks,trans/convertor shutter and I was starting to get the early stages of phaser and chain failure..and of course just out of my 100k extended warranty(which I never used) and basically just paid off last year..literally everything all at once and right out of warranty...this STX really has a ton of great features - only bummer about the 2nd 2.7,is waste gate rattle from the flappers....so cold starts sound like shit..truck only has 200 miles(realized it @ 40 miles) and it sounds like shit on the first starts..its fine after warm up and the rest of the day,but the dealer says ford currently doesn't have a TSB for this,so im basically stuck with it until a fix is resolved....still an damn nice truck...dont let the rattle keep you from buying it,cause it is a decent package...definitely a major upgrade from the '16....just wish this damn thing wouldn't rattle in the morning 😂

STX is a great package, Ford just needs to put a 6 way manual driver's seat in it instead of a 4 way only.

I got a beautiful black STX 4x4 new back in 2020 for 45k very well equipped almost exactly the same as my 2015 XLT 302A package, if the STX is around 51k I can only imagine an lariat 😅😮

Can you compare this STX model w/ the 2.7 turbo 6 cylinder against the Silverado Custom 2.7 turbo 4 cylinder? There seems to be a big price difference between the 2.

Intriguing to me is the 2.7 payload package. I haven't seen figures on what to expect payload wise, but it is interesting.

I have a 2023 STX super cap msrp was around 41 42 after everything he went to 54 somewhere in that area and honestly I love it I’m 6’6 and a car really doesn’t do much for me

I got a 2023 stx but i have two led lights and the extra strap hooks. Why is it i never see any other 2023 stx with them?

I have the '22 STX / FX4 in white with 20" wheels and it looks GREAT. I get compliments almost every day. Got the 5.0 big boy too !!! 40,000 on it already. Runs like a champ.

My 2021 f150 xlt high packaged msrp was 53k…. How is an STX cost that much…my same build now is almost 62k. I love fords and because I have a family member that has retired from ford but they are really pricing themselves out of the market…this is the last ford I’ll probably own unfortunately because broncos have skyrocketed as well now and not interested in any other models they offer. I know it’s just not ford with pricing issues but some of the competion have better msrps

Ford is undermining stx by putting cheap driver’s seat without a hight adjustment. Now it’s reasonable to expect a hight adjustment at least on a drivers seat. I consider this truck for short commute and long leisure drives while towing a 16foot fishing boat. 2.7l engine would suite nicely. I’m 5’11 and could not adjust that seat to be comfortable for long drives. That’s how ford is pushing customers into buying a 302A, while those who need 4A into 502A.
