FUNNY STORY… As the Maverick order books are open for such a short time I haven’t been able to get in line and order me one. SO, I was thinking maybe someone has fallen out of love with theirs and I went to see if my local dealer may have a secondhand Mav on their lot looking for a home. Imagine my surprise when I found they had a 2024 Maverick TREMOR XLT incoming. WOW! The order books have been closed for the year for quite some time. I guess not for dealer orders. I called and found this truck had yet to be spoken for so I placed a deposit and this truck will be mine when it arrives in a few days. !

Just did the same thing but it was a Maverick Lariat Tremor and it's due to show this Friday I noticed when I searched inventory there were others due to hit dealers in my area as well, not all Tremors but FX4 with tow package

Bought my tremor Mav a couple of days ago, love it! On the interstate coming back from the dealership, was getting between 27-30 mpg.

I am averaging 24 mpg in mine with mostly city driving

I've had my Tremor for a couple weeks now and have been averaging 30.6 MPG. My driving is about 75% highway so being a bit of mixed driving I've really been impressed! Makes me wonder what it'll do with some bolt ons and a good tune to bump up the efficiency.

The highway fuel economy estimate from the EPA is based mostly on the highway part of US06 cycle and not the highway cycle with the 48-mph average. The highway part of US06 cycle average speed is over 60 mph. The change happened all the way back in 2008 when there was a switch to using five different driving cycles to come up with fuel economy estimates.

Yeah my 2012 awd CRV lost a highway mpg for highway vs the 2012 epa estimate - 22/29 now vs 22/30 in the original EPA rating.

You need more miles than that to get an accurate reading for fuel mileage.

Not bad mileage for what the Tremor pkg offers, but since I've managed 34 mpg highway on my XLT, I don't think the extra cost would be worth it to me just to have the better driveline for a handful of winter days where a fully lockable driveline could come in handy. I think I'd rather save the additional cost in fuel and also have the lower monthly payment.

Ford charges $27,770 for the TREMOR F150 compared to the XL model. The 3,500 Tremor pkg for the Mav is a bargain. The smaller the vehicle the better it will offroad as trails are often tight you must squeeze past bushes & trees & boulders & narrow canyons, ect.

I have this Truck minus the appearance pack but with adaptive cruise. And I have been struggling to maintain 20mpg. And I have more miles, nearly at 3k. So this is a shocking number to see. Then again I have not maintained a steady 72mph speed. I have ran it faster on my to and from trip to Baja Cali on the 5 freeway. My FX4 used to get wayyyy better mpg on a same route too.

The terrain, elevation, temperatures, fuel, and traffic are all important. Generally you are in very low elevation so your vehicle will use more fuel in order to combust completely and pass through that thick air. Turbos with high compression also do better at some elevation. If you eliminate all traffic and hills then you should see better economy. Your engine break-in should have taken 1000-1500 miles with very easy driving. Bad break-in means more piston rocking and therefore more friction. Try best oil as well such as LiquiMoly 0w16 or Amsoil Sig 0w30. Smooth take-offs.

Also, cruise control floors it when accelerating so better to modulate throttle yourself

The difference in mileage is due to the front bumper's air dam on any non tremor package.

I think it would be worth it if it could still tow 4k but since it can't I don't think the tremor package makes much sense. You can still do basically the same off roading with the one with the 4k tow package.

I was all about the Tremor until I learned of the lack of 4k tow. I need to pull that much on occasion. Ordered an FX4.

Tremor has better approach & departure angles plus an additional 1” lift with a dual clutch rear differential - it’s much better off-road. Wish it had a 4 k tow rating.

@@davehaddad3229 They should add the same bumper and 1 inch lift to the fx4. Though plenty of people have already added bigger after market lifts and bigger AT tires.

The appearance package on the Lariat Tremor doesn’t make any sense to me. It is $4,000 for stickers and different roof and handles. For less you could have the 360 Assist, a sunroof, and a hard tonneau.

Never put regular gas in an engine that is greater than 10:1 compression ratio

10:1-10.3 with all aluminum and turbo and VTC can handle regular fuel. 10.3-10.6 would like more possibly and 11-12 compression definitely premium but the rod to stroke ratio, piston design, spark plug location, injection design, and airflow tumble all comes into play as well. Time of year as well.

I ordered my 1970 maverick back back in march 17 1970 when it was a car 🚘 it’s been 53 years today. Turns out the car 🚘 ordered in 1970 is now a truck😮 🛻 that costs $35000, instead of the car I ordered that costed $2300 😢 , 😅😅😅😅. So truck is finally ready for me to pickup .
