I really like the rev max engines! I wish they would build a bigger one and slap it in a road glide. Oh I would buy many different bikes before this one would even come on the list. Thanks as always my friend. You too!

@@MotorcycleDemoRiders Harleys long term plan is to replace all the engines in all the bikes with the Rev Max. They have to, to meet emissions on the global front. Of course, there will be a fiasco like when they switched all bikes to the EVO engine. Heresy! Harley's a traitor! It's not a Harley! You know the drill...THEY GOT USED TO IT! The people buying the new bikes with the new Rev Max are not the old school Die Hards which are literally Dying. Harley is also planning on building Sport Bike versions (Think Buell) in the near future. They are 100% on a path to attracting the next generation riders. Long live Harley Davidson! I actually hope they KILL IT!

I took this bike for a test drive as well. It really performs quite well. This will be a fantastic motive for Harley-Davidson. I would like to see this motor in a bike like the Pan America.

@@CGB65 It was in the Pan America first and still is in the Pan Am. Same engine except 1200cc. I had a Pan Am for 3 days to demo. It's nothing compared to my 2023 Tiger GT Explorer, especially for the money and chain drive to boot. Harley missed the mark....

I honestly don't have a problem with the bike itself other than the price. It's got good power and a comfortable riding triangle, but 15k is too much for me personally. That said I appreciate how anyone feels about a bike that are different than mine. I didn't even think about aftermarket parts for this model honestly. Oh it I tried to get my wife to ride with me on this one she wouldn't be happy lol. We are a little older and she wants her full backrest lol. Stay safe on the roads and thank you for commenting. It's not the worst choice you could make but and I wish you the very best in getting that price lower as it's a lot of money for what it provides. I did make a list of other options for less money, but I will never fault anyone no matter what bike they decide to buy even if I don't like it because it's another member of the 2-Wheel group. Based on pure horsepower "half the Price" isn't do able so yeah you got me on that one. Probably should have said nearly half the price or 5k cheaper. However below would be my list of bikes before the Nightster even hits my radar. That said I think the Nightster is a good bike but just overpriced. I really hope HD does more with the Rev Max and If this was 10K it, then I would choose it over most on the list below. I'm not an HD hater and want them to succeed but the price is too high for the bike you're getting in my opinion. @@MotorcycleDemoRiders That sounds reasonable. There is definitely a premium but since the bike comes with that great TFT and full keyless ignition package along with cruise, ride modes, etc, I think that helps with the value proposition. Even in Harley's own lineup, they seem shy to offer that combo outside of the higher end sportsters.

​@@MotorcycleDemoRidersGreat list! I'd bet that anyone looking at a nightster is cross-shopping at least one of those bikes. Always baffles me that HD is unable or unwilling to look at the market this way. They are the center of their own universe. The people running HD are fools. I just bought a BMW F900R last year . But I really like the Rev max engine. If a Bronx had been an option I would have strongly considered it. I really like the Nightster, but the chassis betrays the engine on that bike. Its begging for a sportier riding position. I'd still consider it because it makes a good cruiser too, but I can't justify one when I think about your list.

​@@devonnobles1083 Thank you! I would have loved to see the Bronx but sadly to be honest it would have been overpriced! The Rev Max as I have said is a great engine and if they do it right will be a path to the future for HD. As I've gotten older, I keep moving to lower and smaller bikes for the fun factor more than the power but that doesn't mean that the 975 or 1250 rev max doesn't have a place just need to be more strategic and match the prices better to beat the competition. HD could do it and I really wanted to see the X350 in the states but that's not going to happen. A rev max lineup at competitive prices with a 350cc(40bhp) at 5K, 500cc(60bhp) at 6K, 750cc(75bhp) at 8k, 975cc(90bhp) at 10K and the 1250cc(150bhp) at 12K would be great! Then give me the 1800cc Rev Max line producing 180 to 200bhp to blow out the field and now HD has the market in my opinion. Anyway, Old Guy ranting again lol. Thanks for your comment and thoughts. Lol the issue with Harley Davidson! I am happy to pay 20k for a motorcycle (I've bought a few for that and more) but it has to be worth that money and as I stated in another comment this isn't worth what they are asking. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I appreciate the fact that i was riding conservatively on the bike and yes it would have held its own against the breakout. Keeping this in the powerband wasn't going to change how I felt about it. This is a good bike! But Its overpriced and that is the only issue I have with it. Harley always does this and it will be the down fall of the company. Great bikes that are priced to high to sell. Its frustrating and it will be the death of the company. But since the power is your primary focus for 15k I can buy a bikes that have alot more power. If it was 10k then its a great bike and should be on everyones radar but for 15k i would buy something else.

@MotorcycleDemoRiders unfortunately l paid full price for mine as l got the first one in Australia but recently they had $4000 Australian off them which made it not a bad price . The Nightster Special would kill the Breakout in a drag race . My bike has a S&S muffler and cat removed and has Run 11.98 . A Breakout with the same modification will not run anywhere near that time
