Congrats on your 23' Si. 22' Si in Sonic Grey Pearl owner here. 4,500kms later and it's the best and quickest car purchase decision I've ever made. The car reminds me to always keep true to myself whenever i want to buy a car for myself and not buy a car that people will praise me for me being "reasonable" & buying a more "normal" car. Its been a great joy to drive and always snaps necks when i pull up to a yard.

Picked up my ‘23 Si after giving up on waiting 10 months for the GR86 for which I got my deposited back. My first Honda. Did some mods. It’s been a great car. No regrets! Looking at the Supra now that it has a manual. As far as working with the dealer, it was a tussle to get the price I wanted. I went with the Remark cat back. Totally changes the personality of the car.

Congrats! Yeah it will definitely take some work with the Si. The shifts are amazing aren’t they? How do you like the remark? Debating on getting AWE.

@@TristanGrimaldo A really fun car. The Remark totally gives the car character. So many great exhaust out there for the 11th gen. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.

I got a 22’ Si Canadian Spec. Platinum white pearl. Not a single issue with it & handles amazingly. Like you mentioned early in your video.. a true “Practical Performer” Congrats on your purchase man. You can’t go wrong with that ride, it’s a sweet daily!

I started looking for a new car at the start of the year and decided to go look at the Si just for fun to see what it had to offer and if I’d like it (as someone who’s never driven a manual before). After some back and forth with the salesman and a few laps around the parking lot as I tried to figure everything out (surprisingly did not stall) I decided to go ahead with the purchase. The drive home was sketchy and I had to drive with no music for a few days lol but I can 100% say, without a single doubt in my mind, that I am completely in love with my Si. By far one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. I was also lucky enough to get mine in Blazing Orange Pearl, which from what I’ve noticed, Honda is no longer offering. Which is great… for me hahaha! I didn’t particularly like the color at first but it’s definitely grown on me over the past few months. Great choice of vehicle my man! Can’t wait to see how you decide to make this car your own.

Love the car and I do agree it’s probably one of the best daily’s you can buy esp if you don’t have to worry about harsh winters. Way more low key than a type R but mos def add some ceramic tints including the windshield esp if it’s parked outside, got to preserve the interior and maybe some black lug nuts to complete the look for now.

Thank for the suggestion! I’ve made the decision to add ceramic tint to it. I may hold off the lug nuts till I decide whether I’m keeping the stocks or changing them out. If I keep it stock, will order the oem black lugs 👍

I just got a 2024 Civic Si, parts on order! 😂 love this car. I’ve had a 2016 F82 M4, 2014 RS5. The performance, reliability and gas mileage are a breath of fresh air. The civic Si is amazing! Great review!

Thank-you for running down initial considerations etc. Considering to get a 24. Are you still happy with thr purchase? Did you also ever cross shop a GTI ?

Still very happy with the purchase. I recently traded the SI in for a Civic Type R. However, I still stand by my opinion that the SI the best daily driver 🙂

Nice choice, but I’d never pay over MRSP especially if its because of market adjustments and overpriced add ons. Every car depreciates enough as soon as you drive it off the lot.

This car has the L series and not the K series engine. 10th & 11th gen Si are L series and it’s the same engine as the Honda Fit/Jazz. L15

To each his own, we all have different opinions, to me the problem with the SI, is the 1.5 liter 4 cylinder, it is direct injection only, no port injection, so it will suffer carbon build up issues after 60k miles and it is notorious for oil dilution issues when they are pushed hard. To me, I would go with the sport civic, 6 speed manual, earth dreams 2.0 liter n/a 4 cylinder that engine is bullet proof with neither of the issues of the 1.5. You give up about 50 horse but you get an engine that will go 300k and have fun the whole time. I do like the interior of the SI the best, even though, I prefer the integra A spec over the SI, I do like the interior, but I love a hatch and I keep my cars a long time, so for me, it's a no go. We are taking delivery of a Type S in a few weeks, then as a second daily a Sport civic, but again, to each, his own.

reliability can’t be worse than my Subaru or ford f150 😂. Plus I have extended warranty so all is good. Leaving this car stock for the most part and I am very compliant with maintenance and service so should hold fine. Stay tuned for long term reviews 😁

That's the most nonsensical comment I've read ever on the Si. If you can't afford it. Why not take an additional job instead of bad mouthing a car you've never owned?

@@1anre my thoughts were similar. I literally purchased this vehicle for practicality and reliability. No vehicle is immune to issues. Hell, my Toyota tundra is part of a recall lol. But I plan on keeping this thing long term and the fact that it’s a Honda, cost of parts and labor is something that doesn’t scare me. long term reviews are in my future. Stay tuned 🙂

@@1anre I also want to add that I have many friends who have owned or currently own a civic SI. Literally nothing more than routine maintenance and some are beyond 100k miles. So the comment of poor reliability doesn’t phase me. Evidence based lol
