The Hyundai Palisade offers near-luxury accommodations at a remarkable price. However, Hyundai needs to fit the Palisade with a better audio system if they want to push into the next level of luxury, because this Harman ain't cutting it.

Wish they would have had more midrange speakers that’s where a lot of the instruments are in music and just one center speaker for the front just isn’t enough

I agree no wireless for the upgraded model is ridiculous, but you really should have plugged it in for apple car play. I also have my Spotify eq set properly and it really is night and day.

The xrt has10 speakers ( 2 less than the top end-- so Im assuming it's missing the subwoofer and the woofer in the rear🤷🏽

My 2024 Calligraphy is 1 month old. I haven't had much time behind the wheel, but I promise you, if I had turned up the stereo before I bought it, I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT!!!!!!! I have 2 HK systems in my home and shop and they are killer.... The stereo in my 24' sounds like you are pushing 5 watts hard and it is totally muffled...... I cannot believe HK put their name on this SHIT!!!

Just rented a 24 Palisade with the HK system and I just knew something had to be turned off with the settings or something. No power or sound quality that im accustomed to with Harman. I also notice that I have to turn the system way up in the 60s volume range while driving on the highway.

just a suggestion from myself, for the cars that have camera rear view mirror it would be awesome on the bass test if you could have it on the normal reflective side so we can see the vibrations too to have a idea of how you may feel it too 👍

With Bose Mazda 3 cx5 Mazda Nissan maxima all the bang and Olufsen in Audi well, of course Mercedes too bmw Harman

This system seems to be largely loathed by Palisade owners on the internet. I don't understand the hate, really. I'm big into audio and to me it's fine. Not great, but I'd say it's better than any of the competition's base audio systems, and about as good as some of the competition's premium/upgraded audio systems (though definitely not all of them). Yet some people out there act as though it sounds like a clock radio. My hypothesis is that the volume numerical scale is a major (psychological) culprit. Hyundai designed the system software originally to where a setting of 50 (out of 75 or so) was where you were just starting to get loud enough to really hear and feel the full impact of the music. And 65 out of 75 is what people would actually describe as 'pretty loud'. Something about this caused people to think "I have to turn it up SO HIGH before it gets loud"... like what does that even mean? The numbers are arbitrary! If I change the software to where 50 is now 20 and 30 is the max volume setting... it means absolutely nothing in terms of actual sound performance, except that now I have a little less precision with the volume control. But Hyundai realized that's what they needed to do. So they put out an OTA software update fall of 2023 that changed the volume scale, and now all of a sudden you have people on forums saying Hyundai did something to improve the audio quality with the latest software update because they 'only have to turn it up to 20 now for it to sound good'. Can you imagine how annoyed you would be as a competent engineer at Hyundai to get that sort of consumer feedback? "They think it sounds bad because you made the volume range too wide." 🤨

Just got a 2023 ltd with the same sound system. Its very disapointing. Coming from a h/k in my ram with booming bass and sound. The palisade is extremely weak and no dynamics and absolutely no bass till you pump the volume up to almost the limit and then the slight bass is muddy. I love the car but im already looking for a subwoofer and extra speakers

There's some improvement if you have the 'Radio Noise' set to 'Original Sound'. It's under Sound option in set up menu.
