I love the way Chris was so easy going with the guys and had all the time in the world to sit and chat, when you can guarantee there were dozens of people that would have wanted him for interviews etc.

I enjoyed Chris, but when Ms. Genta came on, my gosh it got so much better. I knew she'd be awesome because she was always great on Scottish Watches. She's so charming and the insight into Gerald Genta was incredible. Great episode, thank you for sharing.

as an IWC Ingenieur 3508 500,000 A/m (stainless case/black dial) custodian I really enjoyed this episode! The watch has been in my family from new in 1992 (with original box/papers). Acquired by my father who was an avid watch and clock collector it isn't the most valuable watch in my small collection but it's probably the most interesting.

LOVE IT. So happy you dedicated an entire episode on this release. IWC have knocked it out the park.

The interviews with Chris and Evelyn were the bomb especially the latter who gave amazing insights into her husbands design ethos and process. I retired in September and do collect watches and even try to mod my seikos BUT I will be buying a black dial 40mm steel to wear - Class Class Class episode 😅

Amazing guys. The format of the video was brilliant. Starting with your personal history with the Ingenieur, following with the release of the watch, and moving to the deep dive into the design, the history, and the story of the watch. Beautifully transitioned over to Chris and Evelyn's interviews. The insight that we gain from this just infuses so much meaning and character into this watch. George's volcanic passion, Chris' intelligent approach to the design updates to the originals, and Evelyn's testimonials of her husband all add to the allure of this new watch. Honestly, I agree with Andrew. The older designs were a miss for me. They were incomplete forms of what the watch could be. This new Ingenieur can finally take its place beside the Nautilus and Royal Oak, not as the black sheep, but as an equal.

IWC has just hit the ball out of the park ❤ That one is going to have a waiting list

This makes me so happy to see the 3 of y’all drooling over this thing and just being giddy like a couple of kids on Christmas morning. When I saw this watch release i was first like holy shit they actually released it, then I was ehhh…40mm, then I saw the time+tide video and was like yep I’m back on. It is, imo, the best modern integrated bracelet watch I’ve seen so far. Not to long but still with great presence. I hope to, at least, handle one in the future because it looks superb. P.S., My only problem is that the white dial doesn’t have black sounds on the indices like the titanium one.

So, hearkening back to the question from the first episode, on my 20th later this year - the IWC Ingenieur 40 is about to be my first watch and I think it'll be what gets me into the watch world! It is a great looking watch, but I wished they had challenged their engineers a bit more with the clasp and bracelet of this engineer's/Ingenieur watch. On the fly adjusment and quick change to a rubber or leather strap would have been really nice. I also really liked the quirky "miss-aligned" screws on the bezel. Additionally, I think the price is a bit high considering the target audience. Not many of my colleagues in engineering are in the market for >10k€ watches (even though they could afford it). Edit: I just have to add that I think this episode was brilliant.

Some obersvations: - This might be my favorite episode so far (so yes, continue with spotlights) - Regardless of how much Bamford wants it to be true, I wouldn't call the original Ingenieur design "iconic". It simply never reached the success and place in history as e.g. the Royal Oak or Nautilus. I would call it a historic design. An important watch in the IWC catalog. Not all (even Genta) designs are 10 out of 10. And that is OK. I do agree with you that the new release the best version of the Ingenieur yet. - Kudos to Andrew, he hasn't been the favorite in the trio so far but he is really the best journalist of the three, and elevated this episode. New-found respect.

Great Episode guys. Yes, do this again. An Episode about the Omega Speedmaster Professional is in order if Omega will have you. The Ingeniuer is hitting some notes for me that I find unexpected as I normally don’t go for something like that. The price though, it seems high, even as nicely finished as it is.

The overlooked IWC integrated bracelet watch is the Ocean 2000 which was designed by the same guy who brought us the 911. The slim pebble case that withstands 2000m depths. The slinky undulating bracelet with its 4 successive geometries. And serious combat diver pedigree like a Sinn or a Panerai. A design icon. Look it up.

All I can say is that you guys must have been the first watch guys to find out that Gerald Genta was a fan of hip hop. Imagine it blasting in the background as he was designing. No doubtJay Z will now reference him in one of his songs. That was a fantastic episode by the way.
