Bad luck streak. I was up at 3:30, but didn't leave the house until 5. I was expecting more traffic near the grounds. Friday I didn't spend much. Saturday I spent some. Saw something a minute in I had missed. I didn't see that Wheelhorse. I've had a few over the years. Thank you Kyle.

I haul a lot and have had real good luck from the Gladiator All Steel trailer tires. ST235/85R16 14 132/127 Be sure you get the ones with the 132/127 speed rating and the smooth outside ribs. Simple tire has them for $188 each. I get them from Riley Park for about $150 each.

Great find in that D4! My first ever tire blow out was last fall about an hour into a RV trip. Classic China Bomb blowout of one of four RV tires. Like you there was no forward warning. I had ensured the tire pressure was correct before I left as I always do. I pulled out my man card and installed the spare myself along the side of the highway and still made it to my destination on schedule. Replaced the blow out at the local tire dealer. A trip down memory lane. My grandpa had a D4 that he used to pull freight sleighs through the bush and I had that exact Tonka dump truck. Up in northern Canada most guys got rid of the upper track roller and replaced it with a piece of oak or fir. For some reason the upper roller would always seize in the winter and wear itself flat. My grandpa's D4 is still sitting in the bush somewhere and if it hasn't rotted away that piece of oak will still be there. Ken

Stop putting trailer tires on it and put light truck tires on it and you won't have nearly the problems with tires 😊😊 I use 10 ply L T on mine because I got tired of the trailer tires blowing every time I used it !!! The tire that broke me was the day I went through 10 tires in one day 😖😖😖😖🥴 and 4 was bran new and they only lasted a week 😖😖😖🥴🥴

Yikes, those tires just didn't want to play nice? Were they not the right load range, or just old maybe? I'm guessing that's at LEAST a 12,000lb trailer, and the D4 is under that, so I can't imagine it was a weight issue. I'm on a tire/wheel replacing spree this year myself. I've replaced both tires and rims on my little utility trailer, and replaced all 4 tires and rims on my 12,000lb enclosed trailer. I still need to order 4 for my equipment trailer too, but these things aren't cheap!

All good stuff. You do know that flat or blown out tires come in three's. You're due for another.

When your trailering things that heavy, it doesn't hurt to run a little higher air pressure in the trailer tires. That sidewall flex at freeway speeds creates a lot of heat.

Quick story for you man, I've had that exact tonka dump truck as a kid. I was pushing it across the lawn at Mock 10 and I tripped and blasted out my 2 front teeth off the metal dump bed. Still love that thing 😂

I'm just kinda curious, there seems to be a lot of old cats up in your neck of the woods and I'm just curious if you mind sharing what this cat sold for and what do the prices look like up there, id like another d2 but there just aren't any around me so I may need to travel to get one, just looking to see if it's worth traveling and I'm not sure what a good price is because people think everything is gold plated around here if you can find them
