That's my biggest problem with it, this looks like a car.. They probably put it so low to the ground just to say they improved fuel efficiency. The floating roof actually looks nicer on this model, which was why the older one was so ugly to me. Hmm.. Might still be looking at the x5

The V6 will live in the Toyota Highlander. The Platinum edition looks like a Lexus. A Lexus is a Toyota in a tuxedo.

@@ggthx everyone has their own likes and options sir. I di have plenty of sports cars. 1500hp sport car and 800hp sports car and 500 ho sports car. Next is a powerful suv. Durango Hellcat or a Trackhawk. But really wanted to stay with Lexus. So I wish it had more hp cause I'm a hp in everything kind of guy. So let me have my own opinions. Lol have a good day.

I love it and it’s surprising off road capable bmw was keen to make sure we knew that and took us to the land rover trails in mammoth to test X5 g05 off road . Anyway that’s my 2 cents

I mean it's not the 1960s where sports cars where the only cars that were made fast. It's freaking 2022 from suv to trunks and 4 doors sedans have over 700hp. Fully electric 4 door Tesla pulling a 2.9 sec 0 to 60. Wagon from Porsche pulling almost the same 0 to 60. So why can't we hope that a Japanese company that is well known for reliability and luxury make a more powerful Suv for their customers that want more of it? Nothing wrong with more options and trim levels with more power. Look at Audi with their RS Q suv. BMW with their M package X series suvs. Benz with their AMG SUV. I mean if it's not a hot market why is everyone doing it? And they are selling out! Hardly ever one on the lot. I want one from my favorite brand. That's all I'm saying. If they don't make what I want them I'll buy from another brand almost any other brand has a fast/more HP version of their suv.

Exactly! That's the bread and butter of the RX, you get a V6, and I don't care if the inline 4 turbo makes more power, it's not as smooth as a V6, no replacement for displacement, and so what if the inline 4 gets a couple extra mpg big deal, I rather have a few less mpg with the V6 over the lame excuse of a inline 4 turbo, which is so lame

@@naveenthemachine I wouldn’t say it’s a waste of effort, as I’m sure you can see the Lexus army is out defending this thing. They’ll sell a lot of them and that’s fine but compared to its rivals, this is still at the absolute bottom of the list. I used to be a huge fan of Lexus when they were actually trying, but they’ve done a good job just living on their reputation and the fans will eat it up every time.

The RX500 F sport performance makes more power then the MDX Type S LOL and it’s smaller. This will be the better driving car. It also has larger brakes then both of those cars

@@Toyota4Life it has more power and is still quoted as slower than the MDX Type S. Also, Lexus isn’t known for driving dynamics so that’s a pretty ambitious statement of yours.

Which in fact are The only high-performance luxury sedan cars from Japan and in facts all the V8 F cars are all faster and more powerful than anything from Acura even the Lexus LFA is worth more than Acura NSX. Please correct yourself and speaking on Lexus and driving and Performance. Lexus has far more high-performance and fast products that you can buy compared to ACura. ACura is not even talked about in the high-performance category.

MDX is not outdated. It has more features then this car, air suspension, massaging seats, etc.. I would rather have an Ancient J35 pushing a 4,000lbs suv than an over worked 4cyl. Plus this car is absolutely hideous. Also I must say I prefer the MDX interior with the layout and much easier to use controls, not to mention the fact that they actually designed an interior and not plastered on a laughably huge screen.

@@gilboman the MDX was just updated like last year. . . Though you are right, it doesn't have a hybrid option anymore.

@@UnseenSpirit because literally everyone else has such option. Base x5 will smoke this. A gv80 3.5 will smoke it. A GLE XC60 Q7 will smoke this. And be similarly priced but offer better everything
