I'm a Hornets fan and I'm also not as high on Brandon Miller. I think he definitely has all-star potential but I agree that he's likely somewhere around the 5th best prospect in the class (I don't disagree with you having him at 6). It's frustrating seeing the speculation that the Hornets will take him at #2 when Scoot Henderson is ours for the taking.

Yeah all the media seems convinced he’ll be taken at 2 but that was the Same thing with Jabari at 1 last year. Think Scoot is pretty clearly levels above, but ppl are just more familiar with a college star than a guy that took a different route like the twins & Scoot.

Yeah. I have quite a few rankings that are significantly different to the consensus. This is all my opinion & how I think there game can/ will translate to the league. Ant is great but as I explained in the vid & responding to other comments, I’m just not sure I see him being a reliable scoring threat to warrant the on-ball reps. In the right situation he’ll be amazing & my ranking of him at 17 isn’t saying I’d hate the Wizards for example taking him at 8. Just that I slightly prefer other guys.

@@JBHOOPS100 there is scoring and there is defence. if ya never develop defence you end up like deangelo russel who is hunted for easy buckets in playoffs. end of the day alot of theses scorers are basically volume shooters which are a dime a dozen, and at the nba level if they are undersized wont have the kind of success. its why at 13 there have been alot of all stars and all nba cuz they are more balanced with size.

Agree, but I also don’t really think the fit will be an issue at all, LaMelo wasn’t likely going to be a super high-use, Helio guy in the playoffs anyway, is a special shooter & you can stagger there minutes a bit anyway. Their strengths offset each others weaknesses & the only real concern would be D & I think Scoot will be solid-good & LaMelo got size + good instincts.

People are here talking abt Brandon Miller and JHS, and although Im not as low as u are on them, I’m also lower than consensus on them so no complaint there. However, Anthony Black at 17 is kinda crazy in my opinion. I understand the limitations as a shooter and that he’s not the craftiest ball handler ever, but the dude is a great playmaker and incredible defender and finisher. I assure you he’ll return top 10 even top 8 value. Also, love the Judah Mintz and Amari Bailey love 🤝🤝🤝

Yeah I get it. Just really don’t buy the shot. He doesn’t have an inbetween game/ poor touch & isnt really creating advantages/ getting to the rim as much as you’d like. If the shot is respectable he’ll be great but I don’t think you can have the ball in his hands a ton if he’s not really a threat to score in the H/C. There’s legit 20+ guys you could argue are lottery talents though & he’ll for sure get interest very high.

@@JBHOOPS100 _ _ you are forgetting the defense [ likely or on par with Cason Wallace, ], the passing ability, The lob threat, the midrange. The size, the positional versatility, the willingness to play any role is fit for the team to win. Great guy definitely top 10 👍.

The defense & cutting/ attacking gaps is great but I’m just not confident he’ll be good enough to take on-ball duties on a serious team. Would be fine playing with another star Guard like Beal/ Luka/ Ant but I don’t know it just makes things harder. & I didn’t see much of a midrange jumper from what I’ve seen.

@@JBHOOPS100 in Arkansas scheme they didn’t want you shooting three’s watch the games Anthony black actually popped off, he went downhill everytime and didn’t miss, he’s a great downhill finisher, idk what you’re seeing, not only that he draws a ton of fouls, at Arkansas they limited his offensive ability, and focused on his playmaking and defense, not because he was bad, because there was other options, look how stacked Arkansas was with talent man

haha. yeah awesome shooter & passer & put up wild numbers at SC, think the combine vert might be a bit inflated (standing reach was very low so vert looked higher. But still pretty solid athlete.

Jett Howard is going to be an NBA star! Whoever drafts him will be a winning team for sure. Ray Allen/Carmelo Anthony combo. At 6'8" he will be the perfect wing.

This was something new and different. I like some of the points and the rankings you had but most people need to relax. Just because the majority has the same options on the draft mock does mean they are right, during all comments he said is personal opinion so let's chill and wait to see which prospect each team picks 😄

Check out some other replies for my Miller & JHS explanations, + the vid. Tiers matter a lot more than rankings, just because i have a guy in the 20's doesn't mean i'm completely against a team taking them at 15. NSJ is a very tuff one to rank, highschool tape is great but really struggled at Arkansas. couldn't get to/ finish at the rim, decision-making was so-so & could keep his man in-front + off-ball lapses. elite touch & think the off-ball stuff is real, he just has a lot of things that aren't simple things to fix/ improve.

I understand the hate your getting, but I like the hot takes you sprinkled in here. My biggest qualm is AB because what I saw from him defensively last year was game changing. His combine really surprised me too with his athleticism, which at the beginning of the year people said he lacked. But I have to admit, I understand why you dropped him so much. Another thing is Jett Howard at 14. After he was measured at 6’5, I don’t think he should be top 25. The jumper is pretty, but that’s just too small for me when considering how slow he moves. Great video.

Yeah AB one of the best defensive prospects in the class. I’m confident he’ll have a long career as an impactful player just not sure I see the star upside & think it’s super likely. Also didn’t see Jett’s measurement, where did you see that? But yeah I don’t mind the people disagreeing, it’s just my opinion & thoughts, I don’t need to be right & I wanna see all these guys succeed. & I appreciate the support!

Hard to say but I’d go with someone that can hold up defensively & do a little more offensively than Craig/ Okogie, maybe TSJ if he’s there, Kobe Brown or Slawson. The Suns have a lot of needs so they could go in any direction with trades & FA signings.

Would still be fine taking him as high as 8, just have other guys I slightly prefer, + skeptical of the shot, poor touch & handle so I’m not sure he’ll be very viable on-ball. Would be a great fit next to a high-usg scorer like Luka/ Beal/ Ant etc.

He’s good, wouldn’t be surprised if a team took him in the mid 1st & he has great tools, just was extremely streaky & shotmaking reliant & the decision-making was iffy. He’s got the talent for sure but has to put it all together, so for now I have other guys above him.

The injury towards the end of the szn really tanked his numbers. I buy him being an elite shooter, can play the 1 or 2, crafty, D was rough but he started off the szn really well.

@@JBHOOPS100 I just think 8th is a bit too high but thinking about it now and looking at his stats he reminds me of DLO. Streaky but passionate 3 point shooter, with splashes of playmaking and athleticism. Theres just at least 5-6 guys I would draft over him. Nick Smith Jr, Kobe Bufkin, Jordan Hawkins, Gradey Dick, Cason Wallace

Have some concerns with his ability to create against NBA defenders, struggled to create advantages/ seperation against high-lvl defenders. & he’s over 18 months older than a guy like Cam. I could maybe have him at 5 but think Vic, Scoot, Amen & Cam are a lock to be ahead of him.

@@JBHOOPS100you realize guys if they are good play until 38. Who cares about 1 or 2 years, statistically and historically it has made little difference. All that matters is whether you develop or not. If being young was so important than playoff teams would be littered with them. Let's go old 20+ players! Most of these babies are doing nothing after three years

whether we like it or not age & development are directly correlated, idc when it's just one player but if you're comparing players & who you want higher if one is significantly younger it's an advantage.

Yeah he’s cool & will probably be higher in the draft, but just think there’s a lot of things he needs to work on & he’s extremely streaky. Has great tools/ impressive flashes but the D, decision making & finishing all pretty poor atm.

Appreciate it. Yeah they're very close for me & i'd take both lotto for sure. Just buy Jett's shot-creation/ handle more, Gradey definitely a fair bit better now on both ends but in the right spot I think Jett can be great as well

I think Amen is pretty much a lock at 4 if the top 4 is Vic, Scoot & BMiller but with a few trades if Amen is off the board Cam would be a great pick.

I get the argument & wouldn't mind a team taking him top 10 but i'm just not seeing the on-ball creation stuff/ shooting & think he'll be more of a connector/ secondary handler & second side operator. But if he'd be perfect next to a star guard.

Go listen to you talk about Nikola and then Jett. I think you’re a bit low on Nikola. I like both to be clear but may want to reconsider Nikola. Even better upside as a shot creator and playmaker for others than even Jett imho.

Yeah upside definitely there, but he’s just been super inconsistent & struggled to make shots. & he’s still got a lot of stuff to work on defensively. Haven’t kept up with all his games & he had a few injuries but from what I’ve seen would probably be a late 1st swing at highest, & most likely a upside bet in the 2nd.

Gradey dick should be way higher. Elite shooter and overall offensive threat. Underrated athlete and defender. He will go top 10 for sure

I don't think he's an elite offensive threat, shooter for sure, solid athlete & great hands & instincts on D, but the physical limitations (quickness, first step, thin frame) don't help & I don't see him doing much otd. will be a very impactful role player & will probably return T10 value but i think i'd personally swing on higher upside guys in the T10.

Watching how critical shooting is in these playoffs, makes me rank dick alot higher than alot of people are saying. Most of these prospects need major work on their shot. Dick has th high release and is very consistent in a 6'8 frame. I'm high on him. I've seen so many of these supposed playmakers become useless because they can't hit an open shot consistently

@@JBHOOPS100 selfishly don’t want that. Have been seeing him mocked to a few teams. He’s had a few workouts with teams and said he’s been excited with the feedback. Makes you wonder why Dillon Mitchell of Texas is liked better when he was useless at Texas this year

@@wesleyhicks9414 yeah I think there’s a lot of guys who could use another year. Imo if you don’t get a 1st round or atleast top40 promise as a freshman you’re probably better off returning. So few spots & so little time for fringe picks/ prospects so if you don’t perform right away or are a high pick teams will move on quickly.

Might be, has looked incredible recently but he hasn’t been able to show a lot of the on-ball stuff he did in the U21’s. Cutting/ D/ closeout attacks all amazing though. Could see a team taking him late lotto for sure.

@@JBHOOPS100 I wouldn't mind the Thunder taking him at 12. I don't think it would be any bigger of a swing than when they took Ousmane Dieng at 11 last year. And no one projected to go in the late lottery really wows me, so they may as well roll the dice a little bit.
