In this video, we're checking out the new Nissan Ariya! This car has a lot of features that are new for the 2023 model year, so we wanted to take a look and see if it's worth it.
Background:
The compact premium fully electric SUV was introduced in July 2020 as the brand's first battery-electric SUV. It is produced at its Tochigi plant in Japan since January 2022. The Ariya is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (e-4ORCE) variants and with a 63 kWh or 87 kWh battery size.

It's not cheap, but you are getting a LOT with this car, and what you get is of very high quality. This really is a step up from Hyundai Ioniq5, ID5 etc. in any regard and more along the likes of Audi and Mercedes.

Thanks for the comment and we think so too. Nissan have really stepped it up compared to the leaf and is the car to start changing peoples perception of what a Nissan is and paves the way for an new electrified era.

@@kajko6868 It really is for the price. Way better than people make it to be these days. But it was important to bring something like Ariya, a car that really punches above it's weight and claims a place in the newly reshuffled automotive market as a premium offering. Luckily, that also means there is now an excellent technology catalog from which the cheaper models can profit, and from what I've seen of the new Leaf, it will do so in a big way!

We liked 2 colors, the Burgundy and the Akatsuki copper. We went for the Akatsuki :) for our Evolve E-4orce :). Cheers on the very well presented video showing things other just don't bother sharing.

Var å så på Nissan Ariya idag. Men hadde problemer med å få kart til å finne ladere andre enn de som kom frem som nødvendige ladestasjoner på valgt rute/veg. Din erfaring? Og å legge inn ekstra ladestopp undervegs!? Forslag?

Yes mainly intended for the road with snow mode for added traction. Best going for e-4orce AWD model.

308 mile range Nissan quote. However real world range your looking roughly 250 miles but depends how you drive.

@@ISITWORTHITUK Own a burgundy 63 kw. Went for range test yesterday. Towns, A roads, motorway, twisty up and down country roads. Set drive mode to B (regenerative) and Eco mode. Covered 193 miles and had 33% battery remaining when I returned home.

You really have to drive bad to get that low range, even in winter.

No. Test drove one. Infotainment was enough to put me off, it was about as cutting-edge as a Nokia N95. Slow, low res, ugly graphics. Boot is way less practical when you see it in the flesh. Also ... The centre console and door rest are at completely different heights, so you can't rest your elbows on long journeys unless you enjoy stress positions. Interior quality and ride comfort are both lovely for the segment though I'll say that.

I drove the Evolve eForce (dual motor). It was fine, but not amazing. VERY comfortable, throttle response was very progressive and linear, ride quality was in the top 2 of cars tested (below the Ioniq 5) but one pedal drive sucked. I also tested the Mach E, Ioniq 5, Skoda Enyaq, Kia EV6, Tesla Model Y, Polestar 2.

Worst review of this car I have seen. You should marry it. And yes, I'll be driving it for years when I get one in 2 weeks, so I've seen plenty of reviews but none of them invite me to go look for lotus flowers.
