As an engineer, these type of videos are exactly what I'd be watching if I was working for a bow company. I can almost guarantee it's making a difference, most companies in general aren't called out on how BS their advertised numbers are.

Love the good, honest reviews as I do all my own work and bow builds so it helps! Making a difference! I thought the Levitate review last year was a little harsh and rushed but loved this one. I'm a matthews shooter most recently with the V3 and got the Levitate 1.5 years ago. Matthews has been my backup since. Keep up the reviews and teachings as they're Amazing and help guys like me!!!!

Darton is now publishing a "ACTUAL SPEED" rating for their new Veracity bow. KZfaq archers are making a difference, keeping the bow companies honest. Before, they had to fear loss of sales to other companies who inflated their speed numbers. With lots of checks of speed online, they can benefit from accurate fps ratings.

I think it’s good to start off with a light weight bow and load up the weight with front and back bars. If you have a heavy aluminium riser things can get heavy once youv got it balanced properly if you hunt with a quiver on.

I believe your reviews are making a difference. A prime example was last year's review of the Bowtech SR-350, where Bowtech sent you a second bow to test in hopes that it might come a little closer to their advertised IBO. Regarding the Mach 34, I purchased the Levitate last year as my 5 year upgrade. I like the Levitate, but will attempt to trade it in for the Mach 34 on account of the longer brace height and axle to axle. My draw is 31 inches, and the 6 inch brace height on the Levitate does affect my consistency. The Levitate is a great bow, just looking for a little more forgiveness.

Interesting bow, the only carbon I’ve seen so far that’s intriguing. I don’t know if you respond to these comments but I’d like to know what the riser length is. I do believe though, you need a bow press to take the tension off the system to move the shims.
@MrShysterme
@MrShysterme Жыл бұрын
lancaster went through the shim system and said it needs a press because without relaxing the string a bit then once you pull the shims the cam will not slide on the axle due to pressure

I have now seen a few of you videos and I'm a fan of you no BS honest opinion. In all the videos I've seen you measure relfex. Maybe on you next video when you measure reflex could you go more into detail on it. What it is, the good/bad etc. I briefly googled it but other Crap came up in my search. Just trying to understand what exactly it is and how it benefits or doesn't.

Yeah but it's the bottom of the E2 cam. It's hard to keep the same efficiency with rotating mods and not be completely brutal with the draw cycle. The S2 at the top end is more consistent with IBO from other reviews, and that's generally the theme with most bows. There's a huge trade-off for adjustable mods. You can be fast, comfortable, or adjustable. Maybe two of the three, but never three.

The rest you're using,we can agree is knocking down speed ? Are you checking timing on a draw board and paper tuning beforehand ? A little more info as to if the bow is right out of the box or tuned a bit helps. For as little reflex as the riser has, thats very good speed. Just think what 4 inch reflex and 6 inch brace would be like ? Not bad. We are starting to see binary cams gain a bit more speed like they were producing a few years back. My favorite binary cam still is the Obsession Evolution designed by Keven Strother,the BK artist on the 2014 bow. 6 inch brace and a solid 350 bow but only in limb stop. We soon will be back there again. Fingers crossed. P.S. Mohawk is on point,wich I was able to rock one myself ! lol

Can order with 3 different cams. This was the E2 cam for longer draw length which goes from 29 - 33". The S2 cam (speed demon, aggressive draw 340 IBO) goes from 26.5 - 30.5" and the EC cam ( smooth draw 330 IBO) goes from 26 - 31". Could be slightly off on the numbers.

Great review as always, thank you! Cam shims are a copy of PRIME, axis are a copy of Mathews and cams are a bad copy of Darton. Is any bow company actually developing something new at this point? (besides stupidly expensive accesories like Mathews). Wheel has to keep spinning but I don't think anyone with a bow from 3 years ago is missing something at all.

What about the 90lbs meat heads like me? Lol I'm 178lbs amd I shoot 87.5-90lbs comfortable hunting weight. Killed 2 deer this year at that weight but no one's making 90lbers in these high performance bows anymore. " no one needs to shoot 90" and your correct but it's absolutely advantageous too. I shoot a heavier arrow faster than most shoot a lighter arrow and I can cut through bone like paper. A LOT CAN HAPPEN between time of shot and the time the arrow reaches the animal. The animal can move in a variety of directions possibly causing bone abstraction and my single bevs blades on a 600gn arrow going over 310fps will slice through a humorous bone like paper and not redirect inside the animal. My body is naturally that strong and I draw with exceptional control and form. I want to see PSE Bring 90lbers back. This is getting frustrating. I made a xf33 87.5 lbs but the roller wheel on the cable guard shattered at the powerstroke in the cam and shit went Kaotic domino affect. Just total catastrophe. I don't recommend limb swimming the PSE bows over 5lbs over spec. 3 times I've had parts stock and aftermarket give out past 85. I want a 100lbs draw weight monster and the King Cobra BY APA is the only one and I do not like it...... HELP ME GET PSE TO DO 90#S AGAIN!!!!! MFJJ

Why do IBO numbers even matter and every reviewer tries to match it? I’m a 28” draw and likely will never shoot sufficient weight to ever see an IBO speed, and I don’t think I’m in the minority. We just want nice bows, that tune well and shoot fast enough for 3D or knocking down animals.
