Exactly! My Ford dealer where I live has XLT models listed for just under $70k! They just got a Raptor in for $80k msrp. I dont know if they have a markup on it though, but id much rather spend the extra $10k on the Raptor than an XLT

I would never purchase these trucks used. They’re abused and traded in for newer model years. They’re driven hard and often drag raced on the roads.

Traded 2021 Ram Classic v6, RebelGT2023 v8 , love the growl

I considered it, but they’re priced pretty much the same feature for feature. The Ram ZF8 transmission is about the best one possible to get on a half ton truck, and that 5.7 hemi has been around a minute or two. So they’re both very well-sorted. Chevy has that awful 10 spd transmission coupled with relatively new engines.

It varies but for the most part, Chevy's tend to have the best value. A Trailboss is about as capable, and costs a reasonable amount less than this particular Rebel. For $80K, you could basically get a ZR2, which out does the Rebel in essentially every way.

Probably equipped trucks from Ford RAM and Chevy are within a couple thousand dollars of each other

@@dallasfrost1996 Thanks for the laugh. You couldn't pay me to own another GM, the last one I had completely fell apart at 110,000 miles. The transmission was failing the dashboard was destroyed, the seats, armrest, paint, steering wheel, visors, carpet and paneling had effectively rotted away. It was worthless, and I'm good to my vehicles. But taking care of something that's complete JUNK doesn't matter. As far as the Z72 "outdoing the Rebel in every way", that has to be a joke. I spec'd one out just now the same way mine is, and that thing comes in at an eye watering $85K - with that extremely crappy 10-speed transmission - no thanks. Furthermore, it can't tow nearly as much as the Rebel, and the German made ZF8 transmission is far superior. I have the adjustable air suspension which allows me to have the best aerodynamic height and when necessary 11 inches of ground clearance. Sorry, but no sale. Love your GM if you want to, but I've owned three, and I'm long over them. Finally, the Trail Boss might as well be called the Mall Boss for all its laughable capability. No thanks, and no sale.

It's like 15 to 20 hp max with the cold air and exhaust its not much but the sound is insane I have one . The best sound is from cold starts

You don’t really feel the difference, but you can definitely hear it!

Maybe it has something to do with government regs or something. As an old dragracer from the early 70's, the cold air intake should add at least 10 HP to the stock 395 HP. Maybe a little more.@@kcp7042
