Great vid Bre. I’m gonna try that Honeynut Butternut squash. Love the size of them & that they’re vine-borer resistant. We grew Sugar-baby Watermelon a few years ago. We got like 5 melons but didn’t care for the taste. We’re in the Northeast so the climate could’ve effected the taste. Excited to start the garden….trying winter sowing for the first time.

I prefer Franchi seeds from Italy. Large quantities for the same price as Botanical interest and high germination seeds with amazing heirloom varieties. The liscia and quatantina are my absolute must buys. Botanical interest seeds are nice and I do buy. I want to try the expensive lettuces from Johnnys though

I love Botanical Interest’s artwork on the seed packets. I enjoyed your explanations of why you chose each variety and took some notes, since I’m in a 6B zone here in SE PA and we have long hot summers, too. Thanks!

So glad you are trying supermo tomato! Hope it does well for you. It was only about 2 feet tall but the tomatoes were super meaty! I will always grow it for sauce.

I love the excelsior cucumbers! They did great for me. I also had success with green magic broccoli and it is heat resistant. I’m looking forward to trying the honey nut squash this year too. Great video!

If you don't like a juicy tomato try the oxheart heart good flavor and very little juice and seeds. Very meaty like a plum

I south Africa here is a place on Bob shop that sells sooo much seeds and theres almost every thing and thay really work the seeds are so good quality but thay are like 50 cents a pack it's so cheap thay don't have fancy packageing

I’m jealous of the amounts your planning on growing! I wish I had that much room. I think my small space is why planning seems like a nightmare. I don’t want to regret what I tried this year.

I think I'm just going to buy what you bought lol. I have the same issues with broccoli and vine borers and long hot summer into sudden freezing winter and cucumbers, etc etc. I already bought a bunch of borer resistant squash seeds one day in the fall when I was mad about how my squash harvest turned out. I got honeynut, Seminole pumpkins, and I don't remember what else. I think I bought every resistant variety I could find.

I started wrapping the stems of my squash plants with colorful ace wrap bandages to help prevent vine borers. It worked great for me. You can also use tinfoil.

I grow short day onions as I happen to be in the part of california for short day onions, and most of the crops that are southern crops grow here but I do have issues with growing anything that needs cool weather as I dont get cool weather at all im almost as high as it gets on the zone chart 9b.

it is so funny as a hungarian, cause there is this text on the paprika pack: hungarian magyar. and magyar means hungarian in english. lol :) great seed haul by the way, i wish you a very prolific growing year!

how do you sacrifice your beds for onions and garlic?? I have one of my 6x4 beds is full of garlic, so now I have 1 less bed to plant??? I'm getting most of my seeds from Botanical Interests! I just love their seeds and just found out about their point system to get free seeds!!! I've got honey nut on my list too!! i'm curious about your pelleted carrots. last season my potatoes did great but my sweet potatoes did not! I got a 14ft mammoth sunflower last season!! it was huge I had people in my neighborhood coming to see it LOL. That pacific beauty is gorgeous. I have mine steeping in oil. I actually need to get it strained so I can gift some to my bestie for the holidays. The Black swan poppies are gorgeous tooo I have a shit ton of seeds from seed saving. I'd love to send some to you! I tried melons last yr and they SUCKED!! I think the weather was just too weird! I put so much work into my garden this last season and it was the WORST season for us ever!! which was so frustrating bc I grew so much from seed and did soil amendments and all the stuff, so disappointing! I love renee garden seeds! LOVED the Haul Bri.. Cheers!!

I’ve been planting my onions outside of the raised beds. Can’t tie up that planting space in the raised beds for so long.

@@pacjam418 oh man!! Great a great idea I’m gonna do that with my onions and I’m not sure I’ll grow garlic again and if I do I’ll need a different area cause it’s taking up a whole bed!! Why did I do that?? 🤦‍♀️
