Thanks for the update! Have the same issue on my 2023 Lt, called the dealership and of course "we've never heard of this issue before" so when I got in to take it to the dealer it was working fine. I'll have to try this next time. You'd think with what we paid for these new vehicles you wouldn't be running into issues before you used up your first tank of fuel.

Hah, well what do ya know?! I pulled over on the highway (safely and with hazard lights on -with no noise-) did this and I heard the hazard noise came back on and voila! It worked. Just got a 2023 GMC Yukon Denali last weekend and on my way home two nights ago, after hanging up the phone with my husband on my Bluetooth, the radio never came back on. I was so frustrated. My husband couldn’t figure out what was wrong, so I got back home and found your video. Immediately went out to the car and tried this and same thing, it came back on! So grateful! I posted in your first video about having a loner Chevy, so I have another tip for you and all others on how to get the sound back. Special thank goes to Brandon out of Canada with Ontario motor sales for this tip. Since I was unable to leave a comment on your video... thanks if you're reading this. Anyhow: long-pressing the call end button on the steering wheel for fifteen to twenty seconds reset the radio and brought the sound back for me. It was the only way that would work for me since reset radio was not available. Probably because I haven't set everything up because it's not my truck to begin with, it's a loaner. LOL SO only reset app preferences was available. So, yeah....

Just bought my Chevy 2023 Z71. Next day no sound coming out of Radio Council. Disappointed that I have to take a New truck back not 24 hours later. Did this fix and it worked. Thank you 😊

Had this issue with my 24 GMC Sierra. Dealership reached out to engineers and they concluded to replace the radio amplifier. Never had this issue again.

Thanks for the videos. Although the couple of fixes you suggested didn't work for me. I was told by the deal to disconnect the battery and see if that works. I just had the audio come back on without having to mess with the battery, so it seems that "fixing" the issue is just luck of the draw and random. Thanks again though!

Thank you sir. I just received a 2023 LT for a work vehicle and had the exact same issues then trying to figure out what would work and that is a few extra steps but it’s better than an hour long drive in silence.

I just dropped my ‘23 RST off at the dealer to try and get this fixed. “Huh, never heard of that issue”. Of course it’s working the whole time I drive there. I told them there’s a pop sound from the roof area occasionally but doubt they’ll find out what’s going on there. Thanks for this safe mode info, I’ll use it if they can’t fix the issue.

Awesome. My 400 mile 23 gmc has been doing that. From a buddy that works for a dealer who hasnt heard of this issue but looking in their system im a few updates behind but of course the unit says its up to date. my 14 sierra would do similar but i was able to play a random voice mail to get audio to recover. This will be a huge help until gmc fixes their issues. Overall im pretty disapointed in the gmc stereos. ive also notced that if a song has a longer bass line the vocal volume drops way down then comes back when the bass stops. I had subs and door speakers installed on the 14 using the factory head unit and line level inputs to the amps and was always getting random clipping and couldnt figure it out. its clear the radios have sucked for years.

Have a 22 high country with the new radio. No problem yet with that. Have had ac issues with it freezing up. Second stay at the dealer and a Chevrolet rep said to change some kind of relay, so far so good. I told them third time will be a charm and will lemon law it. I have the 3.0 diesel and would hate to get a gas truck as mileage is great. They say there is an upgrade that can be done on the radio but not many dealers know about it, something about reflashing

2023 Silverado 450 miles Got into the truck and had no sound. Drove about 5 miles pulled over and shut off the truck. Restarted and still no sound. Drive 15 miles to home. Got out and let truck sit for a few minutes. Sound came back. Had a software update earlier in day. Sure it’s not related but noticed that the transmission was hunting a lot and had harsh shifts while on flat ground. All seems normal now. Will try the reset if it I loose sound again. There are two Software Updates to address the no sound issue. They are, 23-NA-042 2023/03/15 Radio Software Version V164 Update and 23-NA-034 2023/03/08 Radio Software Version V167 - Multiple Updates for IOK. You may want to ask your dealer about them.

I have a 2023 lt and mine was doing the same thing then screen completely went dark only 800 miles on truck! Dealer fixed and said some units have a corrupt update! Gave mine the latest update and now it works better then it ever has!!

I just bought truck a week ago and I am experiencing the same thing with my radio. It’s sad that pay this much for the audio to not work. Also, I put the settings in safe mode and safe mode comes off when turning off the truck.
