As a South African my best moment of the year was taking my daughter into central Durban to photograph the victory bus, we were the only two white South Africans within a jubilant mass of a Zulu party. Over 500 images showing celebration by mostly unemployed South Africans. Then, 2 months later recording images of three homeless Zulu boys passing a rugby ball together in the middle of town. amaBokkebokke will be unbeatable if we can harness this!

Hey Tim, I can't begin to express how thankful I am for your videos. As an American, I never grew up around a strong rugby culture. I've always admired the sport, as it has a lot of parallels between my favorite sport growing up (NFL Football), but I never had a reason to get into rugby... ...until I met my wife and moved to South Africa. Needless to say, over the last year, I've become obsessed. Your videos have been a great crash course. I feel like my rugby knowledge and fandom have grown so much, in no small part thanks to this channel. Keep up the great work in 2024!

When you go to South Africa, you will be pleasantly surprised at the crowd participation in international rugby. I went to Loftus Versfeld in 2018 for the Boks vs. AB’s, and as an expat kiwi who supports the Boks, was made to fell most welcome. Both before, during and post match. Hope this year continues in the same frame as the previous, making more people get back into supporting the game that offers as much off the field as on.

A great addition to the rugby media landscape this year, try to never miss a video. One small potential tip although I’m not sure how to do it. I think there’s a way to embed a link to other videos in your channel on a video. So for example, when you reference the breakdown video you made here, you could have a link to it pop up in the corner and someone could go straight to it. It might make more people go look at it straight away. Just a thought but keep it up.
