We are aware of a graph inconsistency at 8:55. The bZ4X, as indicated by the audio and numbers posted, does not have the most range even if the drawn part of the graph shows it does. We regret the error.

Funny how this pure EV is perfect for a Hybrid work Schedule

This is a good bev with excellent warranty, hood range, 450km as tested in the Netherlands and well build, in the Netherlands sales are on the rise for the bz4x.

Toyota is prioritizing the EV battery life, restricting the fast DC charge will maximize battery life. This comes at the expense of convenience-no way anyone is spending 60mins charging. It’s only meant for people with short drive and charge at home overnight. Very niche market.

Could by any chance a buyer from MENA region have an update of the car to run car play on it as well having the screen all English?

@ev pulse. We have had software update. It is possible to fast charge 4x in 24h. 10 to 80% charging on par with competitirs, 30 min, same as q4 etron and Id4. Also small battery pack, less weight and more efficiënt ev motors after the update.

We need to get an updated car to test. As of this very moment, Toyota doesn't have one available in our region. But we'll get one in at some point and retest.

In real life, car charges slowly, and you can't compare 80% to other cars that have larger battery packs and get more driving range at their 80% compared to the Toyota 80%

The 10-80% charging in 30 minutes is only applicable for the Panasonic battery with peak DCFC speed of 150 kW. The CATL battery used in AWD bZ4X's in North America (and all Subaru Solterras) has a peak charging speed of 100 kW and consistently takes an hour to charge 10-80%. I would not recommend the bZ4X in North America unless you can get the FWD version with that faster charging Panasonic battery, or if you intend to only DCFC very rarely.

@@thekat-dg9fxwhy so much focus on charging. We have a Bz4x in our business fleet....and Tesla's and Kia's... we charge at night at home or at the office.....never fast charging, kills the batteries. All our bev's achieve 400 or 450km real range..... . And guess what. The real world range of the bz4x is nearest to their wltp prediction.... . Compared to the Tesla model Y, the Bz4x is more comfortable and well build. It has slightly less range. But we never ever drive more than 450km a day.....no one does....

I think a very nice EV after the upgrades. 10 years warranty, 450km range, real world range as tested in the Netherlands, better charging results. This car won a comparison test with the VW Id4 and Audi q4.

I love your channel but your graphics are inconsistent at timestamp 8:55. The bar graph show the bz4x with more range but the numbers should be "middle" of the pack compared to it's "competition".

8:56 The volks 280miles bar is not drawn correctly. Mistakenly showing that the toyota has more range (it does not)

Toyota Cars and the bz4x are not eligible for the federal tax incentive anymore. FYI. Cars have to be made in North America to be eligible.

While we tried to pull the time references out, our description mentions this is a complication of coverage for this vehicle. If someone is looking at this as a used car, for example, in a few years time they'll be able to see everything we said about the car when it launched in one place instead of hunting multiple videos.

The cluster/wheel is no good in the Prius (test drove one). That and the 100kw charge speed are simply foolish engineering choices. Good cargo space and nice interior, but a manual passenger seat in a premium trim? I’ll stick with my EV6, which goes 100 miles further and charges way faster.

This is a very poor BEV offering from a company like Toyota with such a strong (maybe I'm being too generous here) roster of engineers.

The bZ4X, Solterra, & RZ are all meh offering unless the Lease or price after incentives is far more tempting. An XLE for 43K with Cloth Seats a Manual Seat & Manual Liftgate, really?

Poor if you choose to turn a blind-eye to efficiency. Notice how that information is missing? Toyota excels with their extensive experience related to squeezing out the most from less. No mention of mi/kWh is an unfortunate reality for most reviews.
@barryw9473
@barryw9473 11 ай бұрын
 @john1701a According to EPA it has the same efficiency as Model Y: 28 kWh/100 miles, so nothing special there. Toyota has far more experience at squeezing than Tesla yet can't beat Tesla in test cycles. As for real world testing, Car &Driver tests all EVs in a 75 mph test. I would choose 65 mph or 70 mph, but I can't find that one right now. Regardless, the Toyota AWD version of this car scored very poorly, so I would say real world efficiency on the highway sucks. "less" efficient ID.4 and even the super electron sucker XC40 Recharge AWD (has 10 additional kWh but goes an extra 50 miles - pretty impressive at 75 mph) go further - the Volvo is about 0.3 miles/kWh more efficient than the Toyota. In short, bz4x is not an efficient car, either driving or charging. www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a39695497/2023-toyota-bz4x-drive/

I disagree. It is not the best EV but overall a good Bev considering small battery pack, 10 years warranty. We don't drive 350 km plus daily.....so no range anxiety at all. Charging at home or office, perfect. It is a far better car to drive than VW Id4 and 5 or Audi q4 etron.... . We have the 4wd Solterra, red paint, red interior, full spec, very nice car, real world range 350km. Bz4x has 100km better range.

@@avdp9095 you own car so have a very biased opinion. I drive an e-Golf and think it a wonderful car, but most people would not want to live with its limited range and would say it sucks.
