I have owned the new 2023 for the last few weeks. Has much more pickup than any previous versions. The car has a much smaller trunk. If you need to put a walker or wheelchair in the back, you must take down both back seats. You can’t change out any of the lights on the inside for aftermarket; they all use a circuit-style light. The dome and reading lights in front aren’t that bright. The car looks very sporty inside and out. If you are six feet or taller, watch your head getting in and out; the ceiling is cut significantly lower than in previous generations. The main car battery is back in the trunk, which is more accessible. The car has no spare tire, so if you buy one, you lose a lot more of your trunk. The vehicle makes a cool noise when driving slowly through parking lots, more of a head-turner for people. I do like the lock and unlock noise from the car; it’s new and sounds great. You can turn on your vehicle and off from an app. Car has built-in Wi-Fi from AT&T, not as fast as Verizon, but the connection has not been an issue as the connection is stable everywhere. Also, in the app, you can see the health of your car, see if your doors are unlocked, and lock them. I wish the app would let you roll windows up and down. The car is ultra quiet on roads and freeways. This is the fifth Prius I have owned; they have never broken down. I have never taken any of my Prius previously to a shop for any repairs and that’s with the cars having over 300k in miles. ~Chad James

You can program the key fob to roll the windows up and down. With the app, you can set the cabin temperature to your preferred level. My Mother~in~law uses a walker. It fits in the hatch without folding the rear seats or even removing the cargo blind. As for the Service battery; be thankful it's mounted above the hatch floor. Our 3rd Gen model had the 12v positioned under the floor. If it went flat you had to use the emergency key to open the drivers door (the only door with a mechanical lock), reach back and open a rear door, lower the rear seats and then crawl into the hatch. At that point, you somehow had to lift the floor, while you lay on it to access the battery. Then, you needed two sets of boosted cables as a single set is too short. An adventure for sure. That's why in the new model the battery is above the floor. Love our 2024 Prime, 80+Km on a charge, over 61mpg in hybrid. Super silent in EV Mode. Fast when required. Wish we did not have to have waited almost two years after ordering though.

Is it road noisier than the Camry hybrid? Corolla hybrid? I can hear some noise in your video. Maybe the rims are too large. The Prius front lips reminds me of a Celica Supra. Passenger doors look painful to open. I would keep mine on Eco and save on the traffic tickets lol. The yellow is too bright but the interior is too dark. @10:40 your camera struggles to focus on that dark bottomless pit interior. They should add floor interior lights or just lighten the interior colors. The hatch is small but the ability to drop the backseats is better than the corolla sedan. Ventilated cooled seats sound amazing.

I really like the look of this Prius. Finally, a good looking Prius. Wish it had a little more horse power, and was a little wider and sportier. It’s almost there tho. I would consider buying this. Might wait to see how they design it in a few more years. It’s looking good tho.

Toyota had not planned for the Mustard colour to make it to NA. But, the day our Pearl Prime finally arrived (after a 21 month wait), a yellow unit rolled off the truck at the same time. I think these cars are in such demand and in such short supply that all the rules "are out the window" Have had our car for four months and really love it. 4,250Km and used just one tank of fuel..................

We have a 2024 Prime. Toyota calls the colour Pearl White. And, from a distance it does appear to be white. We had the thing for almost a month before realizing it's NOT white. Look at the paint up close on a bright day and you'll see it really is a pearl colour. That's why this colour costs $600 extra. Love the car. Over 4,250Km on one tank of gas. 80+Km on a charge. Fast when it's needed.

Here in States, 2023 Prius LE going for about $30K. Not bad you may think. Then you stumble upon something like the 2023 Nissan Versa. 42 mpg on the highway, room for four six-footers no problem, the SV gives you 8-inch touchscreen w/CarPlay/AA plus lane assist, blind spot monitoring, parking sensors, etc. $22K out the door. With people with 700 credit now paying 8% on a car loan, even Millennials used to the "Bank of Mom and Dad" are evaluating spending objectively.

We got 7.4 on the 3rd run. And we've seen some reviews that get 7 on the dot. So that's pretty solid.

It’s definitely not slow. Most car magazines got 7.0 sec - that’s hot hatchback territory from just a few years ago. Prius prime is even quicker but more expensive.

Don't get me wrong. They made a great car but they also ruined the Prius. The car was never about speed, it was about being an economical option for families, in the US mostly as the second/commuter car and for taxi drivers of all kinds. Now, no adult can enter through the rear door without a struggle. It's just ridiculous how Toyota and Asians will never get the basics of a product and product marketing. I am hoping they intentionally changed the target audience of this vehicle. Because no self-respecting person will pick this one over a Tesla 3 that is not that much more expensive.
