Dealers should not be allowed to mark up the price!!

i have a corolla cross with 2.0 engine. i use extreme driving style to get 5.0L/100km, which is 47MPG. i never go over 100km/h, seldom let the engine go over 2500rpm when accelerating and hyper mill when ever possible. so l smile when i see the gas pump, and its a different kind of fun to squeeze for MPG.

Living in a city, I like a smaller vehicle. But, I live in New England, so want a crossover SUV. Looks like the Corolla Cross is a better fit for me than the RAV4.

Stop saying they're close in price...because they're not..what Toyota says MSRP is on the website is a pipe dream..LE rav 4 hybrids START at 36k and it moves up from there

There is a significant difference in price. RAV4 Hybrid starts at $42,000 US while the Cross Hybrid starts at $29,000.

I bought both. RAV4 Limited Hybrid and Corolla XSE Hybrid. We will see which one we like best after driving both for a period of time.

Wait time for Corolla hybrid is 8 months, where as RAV 4 hybrid could be between 2 to 3 years here in Australia. Also will cost you around $5k more in the end if you prefer to wait for RAV 4.

I am sorry, but I don't understand why reviewers don't further explain the cable corrosion found in Rav4 Hybrids. It is a very serious matter if you live in Canada and northern states in general, where salt is used to de-ice the roads. The prolonged warranty means nothing if you plan to keep your car for a long time. You know there is a class action lawsuit against Toyota in Canada, right?

Thanks for this video! Spare tire is a deal breaker for me. So RAV4 Hybrid would be my choice if it wasn't for the Corolla Hybrid AWD. The fun part is finding either available at a respectable price.

I am struggling with the lack of a spare tire. Rav4 will always be great unless someone at Toyota sees fit to screw that up...BUT...i am not drawn to the current design models. I like the look of the Corolla Cross better. I am months away from deciding but I am enjoying the research.

I'm a bigger fan of the Rav 4. Cant stand all the plastic or more rounded look of the Cross. I think both need a major interior overhaul though. Pretty sure I've seen that same strong wheel in a 90s Camry

Yup, pricing at the dealer is a bigger difference than listed msrp or srp. They’re only close in price on Toyotas website 😂

Better MPG in the smaller, lighter one would become more significant when you hypermile, though gas tank size is a consideration.

The Rav4 is offered in a plug-in hybrid configuration whereas the Corolla Cross is not. The Corolla would probably make more sense for me in terms of size but having some all-electric range is a consideration for me since most of my driving involves local errands of less than 10 miles R/T. In any event, there are none of the hybrid models on the used market where I live, so I will be sitting tight for the foreseeable future.

How can you compare 2 different classes?! Can still compare Corolla and Camry?

just don't count on the Battey wire harness to be covered by the warrantee.

I was seriously considering RAV4 or Mazda Cx-50 But with the Toyota Cross Hybrid, I am leaning toward getting that. I will do a test drive . I was originally in no rush till next year but I might need to gift my current car to my older sister😩sooner since her 1000 dollar worth car needs a 5000 worth of repairs

I really am not fond of the Rav 4 exterior design. But l dont mind the the Cross. However, l prefer the same utility at a slightly cheaper price in the Corolla Cross. Being our bang around local runner, the base unit would be just fine.

The Corolla Cross has the more comfortable seats than the RAV4 even with XSE RAV4 with softex seats. Cross has the softex option also and is great.

What chassis Toyota Corolla cross have? I don’t see that in the review. Given the price and the hybrid option to both , would not mind buying a hybrid Corolla cross , some designs need to improvised in Corolla cross hybrid to get more of the cargo space (esp for spare tyre) but This is a true hybrid compact suv and popular choice in near future…

The rav is better in quietness, drive quality and refinement? That means the cross is awful cuz the rav and terrible, especially with the quietness. It’s a rocky ride as well. I wanted is much to like this car. I tried over and over and it was just not a great ride at all. The highlander and Rx are the two I bought instead. The crv was also way better in drive and sound insulation over the rav but it’s ugly lol. Hope rav gets better. It’s just the right car for everyone if they fix some of its issues.

The RAV4 is larger. It has a softer, quieter ride. 11 minutes to say that is disrespectful (of viewer’s time)

Corollas one of the crappiest performing engines than RAV4s prime. RAV4 prime is a good example best performance. Reliability is MEH 😒. Corollas are stupid looking dinky boring car only boring people buying it but excellent daily driver.
