I picked mine up a couple of weeks ago for 13k sterling with 10k miles on it. Went from a 2015 gen 1 xc explorer to a 2022 explorer, loved my gen1 but this is another level! Couldn't believe that its lighter than my gen 1 considering the size of it.

Congrats on your upgrade! I know how you feel. I rode a few older Tiger 1200s, and yeah, they have made massive improvements. Of course, the prices have gone up to reflect that, but there is not much we can do about that. It handles and feels great for a bike that is over 550lbs but I love the engine vs. the competition offerings. That is what really pushed it over the top for me. I'll be ridin mine for days n days after I fly out to LA and buy it in a month and then ride it all the way home to Chicago on Rt.66 baby! Can't wait😅

Like someone else said, you can lower the bike by 20 mm by holding in the home button. Also, the seat height is adjustable too. With the preload dropped and the seat in its lowest setting, I'll bet you'd be able to flat foot it. I've had a Rally Explorer for nearly a year now and I absolutely love it. Enjoy! 👍

Well, with 20mm off the suspension and 20 off the seat, yeah, at the very least, I would be balls of my feet. I personally have gotten so used to riding bikes that I can't get my feet down on its not so much of a problem anymore, lol. That said, I did hear since riding this that they did a software update to mimic the Pan America suspension that lowers itself at the stop and the returns as you get going. I'm not sure how well it works, but I look forward to trying it this year. Was going to start the videos next year for the first time on camera before the ride to show the seating position on each bike since I think it could be helpful for some. Anyway, thanks for also making the note for others. Individuals like yourself help a lot because as much as I want to know everything, I also know that I don't but together with others we can all get more information. Thank you again.

@@MotorcycleDemoRiders no problem. My pleasure. To the best of my knowledge, the only suspension update for lowering the bike requires you to hold the Home button. You can hold the Home button again to raise it, or if you exceed 80 km/h, it will raise itself. You'll see the white spring icon in the lower left corner of your TFT. As far as seat height is concerned, Triumph make a low seat for that bike, that will help you even further.

This is a great mc super comfy and very stable in low speed I don’t feel som top heavy at all and is very fast, my 1200 gt pro 2022 mod was measured at 3,4 seconds 0 to 100 km in 1 gear. I have traded in after 16750 km for a 2023 gt explorer with 30 litres tank, which I haven’t been able to try yet because too much snow here in Norway now 🏍️

Oh yeah, it is. It would make some riders very uncomfortable. That said, I'm past the point in my riding life where I need to be flat-footed. I'm to short so I learned a long time ago that if I was going to experience all these different bikes I better get used to the fact that my feet don't touch the ground.

To lower the bike hold in home button for 3 second and the pre load will be removed to lower the bike I don’t know why you are using the clutch ?

Thank you for the comment! In regards to the clutch usage, this did have a quickshifter installed. However, for some reason, I kept using the clutch out of habit. Sometimes, i revert to the old habit of riding. As far as lowering, that is good information to share! I believe that was a software update, but I could be wrong on that, and I'm grateful that others can bring their knowledge to anyone who watches the video. Riders helping riders is such a great thing. Thank you for taking your time.

Triumph tiger has a soft spring problem. That bottoms out on travelling load

This is the first I've heard about that. Based on what I read the max payload was 222kg or 489lbs. That seems like a lot of weight available to be added. What model are you referring too? Long trips do require a large amount of gear without doubt. I will research this more. Thanks for sharing
