But there are instances where it's not so bad to consider it. Like buying a brand new polo/golf gti, since those cars hold value and stay relevant for longer. For an example, many people still buy 4 - 6 year-old gti's on 5/6 year finance. Now imagine how old that car would be after the end of the loan and compare it the balloon payment option that I mentioned.

@@clivemanzi7494 makes sense. Of one does that...it clearly means they cant afford the car. The age of the car doesn't matter to my opinion, people have less than 3 year old cars they got brand new...but now the looks aren't appealing at all. All these things are subjective.

@@themba_rihlampfu for me vw wins in this battle but their pricing and a number of features that you have to pay for. Also, vw or german cars are very cautious with the power output of the engine. They could have given that car at least 100 kw/230 nm for that price, that's how I feel. Now there's a huge gape in power/performance between an r line and a gti.

@@clivemanzi7494 True, the car is nice to be honest, just a lot of optional extras. and the pricing just being high for a small engine. However the engine is still good when coming to fuel. You just will never get all you want in one I guess
