Good thing that you mentioned sharpening the chisels. I didn't know when I got them that they needed it out of the box!

Great list. I either have the item or really want the item LOL. The one that has made the biggest difference for me, is the Amana Tool Countersink with Adjustable Drill Bit Depth Stop and No-Thrust Ball Bearing. I bought it for a project and now it is the most used drill bit I have.

Nice assortment! I looked for that sander for 6 mos locally, ended up needing to buy on line. Now use it for every project in some way. Also great for little helping hands. Thanks for the recommendations 🎄

Thanks very much, yeah, I love that thing it is definitely not just an attachment you put on an oscillating multitool!

I, too, started with Makita tools, and then ended up buying some Milwaukee ones because they were the only battery powered option available. That little sander is quite good for detail work, although I am using it for construction/renovation/diy around the house. The paper lasts pretty well too, which is great because in my area there is no alternative to the Milwaukee paper for it. It also works a lot better than a Multitool sanding pad.

Good to hear, yea I love that little guy and same with the paper for me, does last pretty long luckily

That countersink bit is what I need. I've been using a set from Dewalt that is OK, but an upgrade would be nice.

Good video. I like the all types of tools you recommended, which was a refreshing change from the typical Pica pencils and DeWalt drill / driver kits everyone else includes. I would change a couple of the brands though. For the miter gauge I think the offerings from Incra and Wnew are much better than the Kreg. They both have far more positive stops without the gimmicky pin. That pin looks like something that would disappear within a week. The Bessy parallel clamps are really nice. If one intends to really impress the recipient they are definitely going to do that. From a practical aspect consider the Bremmen parallel clamps which are a close second best, but cost half as much. Personally, I'd love to have 2 or 4 Bremmens rather than 1 or 2 Bessys to do bigger projects or more at once.

Thanks for all the feedback! Haven’t tried a Bremmen, will have to take a look at those!

The small detail sander is something other makers have, though, as an addon sanding pad on their multitools. The Milwaukee tool even sounds the same as other multitools, so it's the same principle.

Respectfully I’d disagree, an oscillating multi tool moves back and forth, this is an orbital (moves in a circle) so there is a big difference between them when sanding. I had a poker tray product I was selling and needed to constantly sand out router marks, the multi tool attachment would sand the area but leave scratch marks behind so I specifically went in search of an orbital detail and this was it (and a discontinued rikon) It accomplished the task without any scratching, which is what cemented my love for it!

I am trying to figure out how I graft a 12th recommendation onto your list so I can share it with my family, hint hint. That recommendation would be, an awesome shop just like yours, may not come in under $200, but hey, I’d say, we are deferring to the expert here and the shop is on his list. I know, magical thinking brought on by fumes and sawdust. Another great video! 🇨🇦

Thanks! A cheaper one to consider would be the power tec amzn.to/3MYCrGj. That comes in at $99 my gut tells me that it it being a laser engraved fence your gonna want to cut the extrusion fence at 1in, only negative
