Nice video. So still a noticable gain after installing the sleeve with safer afr. Was not aware the sleeve was available. May just be buying this sooner than later 😮

Yep! Ever since December of 2022 they came out with that sleeve to fix any DAM issues and it's done well in this car since installing it.

I just installed this and thought I was missing a 12mm bolt that videos state to screw in the black intake tube/pipe. It was frantic during install trying to find a spare one. Finally figured out that new version comes with a rubber insulator instead (black rubber piece with 2 studs coming out of it). You screw that in by hand and then put on the pipe, and then the nut on it from hardware bag. Hope this helps someone.

Nice video! Were you tuned before the intake? Just curious, because I dont know which order to do the installs

Yeah, so if you watch the previous video, I had installed a Cobb Accessport with the Stage 1 tune which is meant for a stock engine, but it basically ups the power a little. So effectively, you should have the same or similar results just installing this intake without the Accessport. So you can install the intake by itself and be fine, or install the Accessport by itself and be fine, or do both like I did and enjoy the trouble free gains.

My ETS intake package didnt come with the maf sleeve. After driving without a tune for few days my DAM drop to 0.000 💀

For $35k-$40k, do you like the 23+ wrx or 19+ sti? Stats aside, purely based on overall fun of ownership.

Honestly, either the 22+ WRX or 19+ STI is a good choice. Stock vs stock, they both excel in different areas. The STI will be more track friendly right off the bat, where as the WRX will be a better daily driver. Both cars have a lot of potential to do whatever you want with them. My personal opinion, I've driven all kinds of different WRX/STI's here, and I really enjoy the new WRX the most. The updated interior is nice, the much newer and updated FA24 engine is much more efficient, responds to modifications better, and really has a nice feel to it. That being said, the STI rumble will always be one of my favorite sounding 4 cylinders, and the STI transmission is definitely better. Both cars are great though, it just depends on your end goal!

Man im really having some issues, i didnt recieve a 12mm bolt, just the bolt using an allen key, also after putting the intake into the coupling on the turbo, it doesnt line up to where i can install the bolt !

Where'd you order yours from? Did you end up getting it to line up properly?

@@kyle19272 I ordered mine straight from ets, they sent me the wrong bolt pack for sure, ended up having to get a couple from autozone, and tbh the couplers arent happy about getting it to line up, but i did it, I feel as though they shipped a gen 1 intake with gen 2 couplers, very bad first experience getting directly from them!

i have the ets intake but i be hesitant to put it on cause i have an automatic 😅 so i dont know if it would function correctly or am i just orverthinking it i have the ets non res mid pipe on and muffler delete with stge 1 ots cobb tune

The engine is the same whether it's the CVT trans or the manual. They'd have the same effects. The transmission only determines how that power from the engine is delivered to the wheels.

Yes. Once the car is brought in for a pro-tune, I will be removing the sleeve for maximum airflow. Otherwise it's better to leave it in if running the stock or Cobb tune.

If you're going to get a pro tune done very shortly, I would leave the sleeve out! Leaving it out will allow the least amount of restriction in the intake, and the MAF scaling will be adjusted accordingly.
