My buddy got one for his Street Triple RS 765... They put Lightning on the side, but spelled it Light Ning". Two words. lol Should perform fine, its a muffler, not a header... a 3" hole is a 3" hole...

@@ninor1 With a slip-on, you typically don't. Take any slip-on... as long as the inner diameter is the same, and they are roughly the same length, they will flow and perform the same. Where they may differ is looks, tone, weight, and how well they hold up to water and corrosion, etc...

Incorrect the sprint P-08 retails for around 115 bucks your most likely thinking of the P-08 F1-85 ( race use only )which cost about 225 bucks

Right!? Sounds like a shotty plug job 🤷 Maybe the hole was a little bigger than usual... I like to add a little rubber cement to the plug if possible.

There is a skill to installing the plug right (when you prep did you follow the trajectory of the nail exactly? do you let the tire go all the way flat or keep some air in there? do you add rubber cement? when do you ad it?, do you twist your hand at the lowest depth before pulling the tool out? . . or just go straight in and straight out? do you add heat afterward?). It can take a few tries to get it right. That's why in general it is best to preplace that tire ASAP or if it never was driven on flat get it patched ASAP.. But if you have lived through the learning curve the risk goes down significantly.

😂that's probably accurate. I spared no expense and went full titanium Akrapovic. Dropped substantial weight. Those stock headers/manifolds are not light. Plus, can't beat the blue/purple color change titanium does. Most importantly, it'll last. Whatever that is will probably rust out.

@@ScottMiklesyea it’ll rust but then you just buy another one for $200😂 I have a 2017 R1 and I put a real Austin Racing GP1R 3/4 titanium system on it, with shipping and currency conversion it was about $1700CAD. After about 4 months the rivets that hold the end tip came loose and the tip fell out. So I bought a fake akrapovic pipe on eBay and it was $300 shipped to my door, bike sounds better than before and runs the same lmfao

If the secondary pipe is 76mm / 3" (or even 2 1/2") and you reduce it down to 50mm / 2", that is going from 7.07 sq inches to 3.14 sq inches, leaving you with only 44% cross-sectional area! I'll refer to your analogy of "you're giving it 100% throttle but the computer is only giving it 44%. Such a large / sudden drop in cross-sectional area isn't good for power. The only beneficial reductions in diameter are the ones where the primary tubes converge together, then the secondary pipes goes back up in diameter. These reductions at the collector (of the primaries) speeds up the exhaust gasses and helps scavenge the primary tubes, thus pulling on the exhaust valve harder and making more power. A reduction in diameter at any other place in the exhaust system will usually loose power, especially if the diameters are sized correctly to begin with.

I think he has videos of a stock zx6r. That might give you an idea of what gains you might see

Yes I have. Search through my other videos on the zx10r. It did REALLY REALLY GOOD with stock exhaust.
