2024 Audi RS6 Avant finally has the PERFORMANCE level it needs

The Audi RS6 Avant is a pretty amazing wagon. It just falls a bit short compared to the Mercedes-AMG E63 and Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo wagons. Until now, that is, as Audi has created a new RS6 Avant Performance model which arrives for the 2024 model year. It boosts horsepower to 621, reworks the drive mode tuning, ditches a few pounds, and sees the RS6 deliver what we hoped it would from the beginning.

A friend of mine has 2022 RS6 the alternator went on it. Still under warranty tho… 15,000$ repair bill if it wasnt under warranty. They also had to de-energize and then Re-energize the 48v system. It’s a great car but that’s a crazy repair.

Common issue, went out on mine also, repair was $3800 though not $15k

I have a 17 S6, a module went out in the tranny, $7k, fortunately I had purchased the extended warranty. Pretty much any repairs on Audi's will require a trip to the bank

@@yewtubez because it isn’t a Honda or Hyundai. It’s a German, high-performance machine. Our SQ7 oil change costs $250 because they have to remove so much shit to get to it. These vehicles are beasts which lots of components. It’s no wonder.

It was 6,000 in parts, 3,400 in parts and 4,400 in other, I didn’t see his whole breaks down… but something had to come come from Germany.

One also wonders if the same treatment will be given to the RSQ8 to keep up with the X6M Comp, but then it'd be too close to the Urus in power figures.

I started liking wagons when the Honda Accord Wag And the BMW Wag started appearing. But this beast is next level. And the thing about this car is most people that buy one will the unicorn in town because there won’t be many out there and all them Dookie Dodge skats will be left in the rear view at every light .

This is how it should’ve come out of the gate, I agree with that. Being heavier than the C7 gen, it needed 630hp+ from the get go. It could be underrated for all we know, since the engine has actually had larger turbos and cooling upgrades strapped to it.

No shoot out he’s going to be possible. At least not a three-way one. MERCEDES is on its last model year and it looks like they’re going to supply a total of 25 cars to the US Maxximum. So, it’s basically Porsche versus AUDI. One thing for sure, regardless of what happens, VAG will win that one!😂😂

RS6 was always hamstrung by it's engine been given over to VAG group big hitters Lamborghini & Bentley and it's respective performance in the pecking order imo Otherwise it would have murdered out of the box

Mercedes S63 AMG E Performance have 802hp and 1430 NM, where is Audi ?? BMW M4 Competition Xdrive 0-60 mph in 2.8s - where is Audi ? RS4,RS5 weak with only 450 hp, RS6 620hp? nowadays is above 800 hp ! Audi make RS grate again !

Great car until it goes wrong. Had x2 performance audi's impeccably maintained and both have blown up with gearbox and timing chain issues. Would never buy again.

Nice to see RS6 performances coming, but I think it’s too late. By the time it release on the market, Mercedes will be announcing a new E63s which has 800+ hp, while the bmw already has an M5 cs.

It's not just more hp. It's revised driveline tuning, revised drive modes, dropped weight, more torque, etc. And we never said it's a hypercar... just that now it finally competes against the Mercedes and the Porsche.

I guess it’s subjective but I love my 2017 RS6 Performance. And it has a real presence on the road. BTW… the practicality of a wagon helps sell it to the wife!
