I also think the only way Simone would win Gold on Beam is if Zhou and Quiu had a major mistake (and I Hope this don't happen)... Just like no one can Win the floor unless Simone had a fall... On Beam, both chineses athletes are in advantage... And they deserve It! Not only they have the dificulty, they are more flexible and have a "light flow" that Just favor them in the Beam (Just like Simone's strenght favor her on vault and floor)

Before the various kingdoms of the various Chinese groups started to compete & then to coalesce --- with the Han group decisively taking over ---- the Hans were believed to occupy lands from around ancient Xi'an, along the banks of the Yellow River up north to the Beijing and Southeast to the coastal areas of Shanghai & adjacent lands, whereas the Hmong, among other smaller tribes, were reported to have clash with the Hans, from areas south and southwest of ancient Xi'an down to the Yantze River (what's today central China). After a few thousand years of struggle & especially when the first Chinese Emperor consolidate power, Hmong and other minorities were slowly driven southward, toward the more periphery, more rugged areas, for those not willing to convert to be what the Hans wanted or those who disobeyed the conquering Hans' rules. Presently, around 95% of the Hmong (5th or 6th largest ethnic group in China) and other smaller groups were pushed to largely the southern bank of the Yantze River --- lands surrounded by modern Sichuan, Guizhou, Guangxi, and Yunnan, the four southernmost provinces ---- the more rugged areas of southern China. +++++ For those interested in HISTORY, of Suni Lee's recent background, as it pertains to HUMAN GROUP CATEGORIES, in the US.... nothing to do with Gymnastics ++++++ For those into modern history, Suni Lee's parents were from northern Laos, from the very small 500,000 or so Hmong who had crossed over from Yunnan to northern Laos, only about 150 to 200 years or so ago. Presently, there's up to 1M Hmong on northern Vietnam. Those were WITH the Chinese & North Vietnamese Communists. There are around 500,000 Hmong in northern Laos. Again, it's from those original 500,000 Hmong in northern Laos --- but from the FACTION, roughly 50%, who aligned with the French & then with the Americans, from the 1940s through the 1970s --- that Suni Lee's grandparents and parents came. So, if you tally up all the Hmong OUTSIDE of China, like those from northern Thailand, northern Laos, northern Vietnam and the few thousands in northeastern Burma, you have more or less 5% of the total global Hmong population. And THAT, interestingly enough, is one of the problem of CATEGORIZING Hmong in the US, in the US Census: At least 95% of the various related Hmong groups/tribes STILL live in China, around 12M - 13M; but close to 100% of those having "made it" to the West, came from the tiny group that crossed into northern Laos, around 150+ years ago; and Laos is considered SOUTHEAST ASIA. So, American census officials have a hard time SQUARING THAT CIRCLE: Are Hmong "East Asians," as an ethnic/racial CATEGORY, because ~95% of the Hmong people still live in central to southern China... or are they "Southeast Asians," due to the fact that all Western Hmong are those who or whose parents & grandparents came from northern Laos?

@@KevaFloresno she didn’t. Unfortunately she broke a connection and I believe took that step on her dismount as usually. She upgraded her dismount I believe. She is one of my favorites to watch, and I believe the favorite to win❤

They are all good, Suni then Simmone have just as much difficulty, but Suni has better of both.. grace and difficulty.. though I think they all did great, Suni my fav.!

Because this will be the most stacked event and because beam is the one apparatus that every winner is the most difficult to call off the bat ( everything is based on a IF), every contestant would need to be on their game from beginning to end.

Although Simone can now fully fall on vault and still get gold 😋

It's because they're graceful, something that used to be valued in gymnastics. I really thought I was having a moment giving the benefit of doubt to a degree even though I knew, that with how HD everything is you just notice things more but no this truly proved how ungraceful some are, and that the gymnasts of old really had a lot of grace too.

Yes, that's usually the experience of the Chinese women, both as a group and as individuals: one Olympics after another, both Chinese men and women have world class skills. But during big moments, while the Chinese men --- both individuals and as a team have won big over the years ---- Chinese women, in 10 Olympic appearances over 40 years, have never won the most coveted AA Individual Gold, even though they have won the TEAM Gold (2008, OLY) and individual apparatus OLY gold's before....

Já vi a China com o placar favorável de 14 a 9 no último set no vôlei feminino contra o Brasil e levar a virada. As chinesas têm fama de amarelonas. Na ginástica já caíram das barras assimétricas em momentos decisivos.
