I spent the past week living with the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Series with it's glorious Twin Turbocharged 3.0L V6, dynamic GM Alpha chassis, 20th anniversary V badges, and hot looks here in Velocity Red. And well, I would buy one, given this tester didn't cost nearly $70k. Though with that price comes some impressive features like Supercruise, luxury appointments, sharp looks, and an overall dynamic daily driver that stands out from the crowd.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Highs:
+ The Looks are gorgeous in person, with the Velocity red paint, carbon trimmed interior, metal paddles and accents. It’s hot.
+The steering, chassis dynamics of the #AlphaPlatform , and Insane amount of drive mode customization are BMW M levels of good.
+The exhaust sound, pops, burbles, and driving experience are intoxicating.
Lows:
-The interior is on the tighter side though still is roomy enough.
-The 10-speed shifts quick in auto but paddle shifter lag is abysmal on occasion.
-It’s so fun to drive your fuel economy will not be good. I averaged under 17MPG.

I have a 2023 CT5 V Silver package and I absolutely love it . The V series are outstandingly done , a good mix of luxury and sport

do the lights flash on the steering wheel all the time ? if so that be annoying

No, only the camera sees those lights they are not visible to the eye. It's infrared sensors part of the Supercruise system.

The real question is, can I fit a car seat in there and have good room for other passengers? I am 6’4 about 250 pounds with a 1 year old.. need space lol..

Yes you can fit a car seat. But space is still on the tighter side inside.

don't understand why you'd compare this to the 3 series they are not the same class or size the V is longer its a full size luxury car m340i is a mid size luxury car so therefore it would compete w the ct4v which is also mid size class... the ct5v goes up against the 5 series

The CT5 is an in between car within the 3 and 5 series range. It’s not as large as a 5 series and is priced more towards the 3 series but still is in between. I personally find the CT4 way too small to be a proper 3 series competitor, it’s more along the size between a 3 series and something like a 2 series grand coupe. Cadillac lineup is weird like that. Regardless it’s a great car and I’d buy one if I had the money

Are you slow? Cadillac doesn’t have to follow German dimension standards for what a mid-size sport executive sedan is. They built it so I’m sure they know what it competes with considering they’ve also driven all the German sedans at some point as a benchmark, at least all the bmw’s. It’s longer yes, that doesn’t mean it competes with everything that’s the same length. Have you driven a CT5? A 5-series feels and drives like a larger vehicle, so does the A6 and E-class sedans. They’re much heavier and you feel that when you drive them. 2 different characters.

it does compare both 6 cyl 3.0 tt around same hp ct4 v is 3.6
