When I saw comparison video of the Bison and the the Tacoma TRD Pro pickup being driven off-road, I was sold on the Bison. That driver of the TRD Pro was being jostled all over the vehicle while the Bison took those same trails and rough roads smoothly. The driver looked like he was driving on a smooth paved road.

Mines on order, didnt get bison and saved 10k going to do 1in level lift and 35in then just going to order the bump stomps. 3k total for all that. I guess bison will be good if you want to rock climb because of the under body armor and bumbers

"Bump Stops"? You mean the extra DSSV jounce dampers? From what I've seen, you cannot just add them as the frame, at least in the rear, appears to be different. Just like you can't add the DSSV shocks to a Trail Boss. I'd seriously check before spending the extra $$. MY $.0002. You'll love it regardless, I love mine (2024 ZR2 I picked up a month ago)!

100% agree! I originally looked at the turbodiesel Gladiator Rubicon, then the Bronco Sasquatch and decided that I'll NEVER take the doors off or even anything more than the front roof panel, so, I wasn't willing to live with all those compromises (plus the Jeep "Death Wobble") so I got a 2024 ZR2 with moonroof in large part BECAUSE of the fixed roof and added integrity. So, because of the fixed roof in a Blazer, they would get all the buyers like me who don't WANT all that removable stuff (that few ever actually remove anyway).

I remember when old America hated import cars with 4 cylinder because it wasn't a V6 or V8. American cars now with turbo 4 just shows how behind they are compared to import cars with 4 cylinders. IMO trucks/SUV should at least have a V6. I have test driven a bronco 4 cylinder turbo and did not like it at all.

I got my 2024 ZR2 a month ago and find it has PLENTY of power at all speeds, though the throttle return spring is pretty stiff. Maybe that's to keep the gas mileage up or to aid when wheeling. There is a bit of turbo lag though, and when you mash it more than just a little to get into traffic it WILL light the rears up....or so I've been told...🤣

If you’re not dead set on having the steel bumpers, extra undercladding, & AEV tire carrier, then get a regular ZR2 & slap on some 35s. The stock ZR2 will accommodate 35s w/o modifications whatsoever - stock wheels to boot. I lost about 2mpgs, but looks far better then the OEM 33s. I’ll just need to get a matching spare at some point.

About a month ago I picked up a loaded w/moonroof 2024 ZR2, and have put about 2,200mi on it, in many different street and dirt situations (to the best of my admittedly novice ability) both locally and in Moab last weekend. Doing the Moki Dugway/Valley of The Gods Saturday (easy, but the 'Valley was fun at elevated speeds!), then Sunday down Shafer trail from the top and on to the Potash Lakes (a little more challenging), to what I THOUGHT would be the easiest on Monday (up Onion Creek (easy) all the way to the top of the mesa opposite Top of The World via Hideout Canyon which had some really sketchy sections for me as a novice with a brand new/unfamiliar truck. I did Monday's route in my 2010 RAV4 AWD V6 in 2020, BUT, that was downhill AND there has been a lot of erosion of the trail in 4 years, exposing a lot of previously hidden rocks. I was butt-clenchy but I locked the rear in 4wd Auto (should have put it in 4 HI but forgot) and it just bounced it's way up the one long steep incline with maybe 8"+ steps like it was nothing. The ZR2 did it all, I was just the idiot behind the wheel. I gotta say, I love the thing, and I hope to grow into it's capabilities although I think I'll never come close to it's limits. That's ok, because I almost always go out completely alone (like this time). I considered the Bison, but the pricing is in Ranger Raptor territory and that has another 100hp. Plus, the fact you must put the spare in the bed is kind of a deal breaker for me. I can't justify the extra $12k+ whatever markup. If I can fit 34's on it with no lift, and more importantly fit a 34 in the spare well under the bed, I'll be perfectly happy. I think it's a great platform (with a few electronic annoyances (no light button AND the fog lights WILL NOT stay on, you must manually activate them via the screen EVERY time), and the traction control clearly isn't as good as the Tacoma's or Gladiator's (hopefully that will be a software update), and those that get either the ZR2 or the Bison will be very happy with them. Enjoy, I am!

You lost me at 4cyl. If the driveline can handle that much power and torque, just do a na v6 or de-tuned v8 so there isnt as much pressure per cylinder and will last longer and maybe even get better gas mileage. The cost for manufacturers would be only a thousand or two but since they're losing so much money on EV's, we all have to pay extra and get less.

@jrighteous1984 I've always had Silverado...5.3s. This truck is definitely quicker. Same horsepower, and I'm guessing the ZR2 is a bit lighter. For anything I'm gonna do with it, it definitely isn't underpowered. Im not doing any drag racing with it. That aint why i got it. I've heard a couple gripes about turbo lag on some videos, but haven't experienced that at all. All my Silverados were super dependable. If this one is the same, it's a great truck.
