2024 CSCC Oulton Park! Classic sports car racing action & sounds + The Smallest Cog MGB!

May 2024's CSCC (Classic Sports Car Club) meeting at Oulton Park saw some great classic racing action from an incredible array of historic racing cars, racing championships and a look at Richard Hammond's 'Smallest Cog' MGB GT!
In this action-packed video expect some of the best classic car sounds I've ever recorded during the morning Qualifying sessions, a couple of wanders around the overflowing Paddock and Pitlane, and an afternoon of non-stop racing action, from championships such as the Classic K, Mike Hawthorn Jaguar Challenge, Spridget championship, Morgan Challenge and the Jaguar championship to name a few.
Some of my favourite and the most beautiful classic racing cars at 2024's CSCC Oulton Park included a TVR Griffith, Jaguar XK150, a plethora of Jaguar Mk1s, Aston Martin DB4GT and an eargasmic V12 Jaguar XJS!

Hi 👋 Harley. I love the old bubble shaped Jaguars. It's like going in a time warp for me back to 1965 , when my family would go to the motorcar racing at Ardmore racetrack here in NZ. I was telling your father in my message to him . The Jaguar XJs are cool. I loved I the city Wellington here and there was car racing on the streets in the 1980s. The streets were closed off. I remember two British drivers brought their Jaguar XJ s over here to race in 1986. Very good video Harley.

Thanks Harley, I wished I had done circuit racing, but chickened out and stuck to hillclimbs, sprints and tarmac stage rallying in the old MK3 spitty, shame you don't see more of those on a circuit, as they did take a class win at Le Mans one year ( was it 65?- Maybe wrong there ? ) Loved the vitesse however, nice to see one out there. Edit to add. Yes it was 65, they took 1st and 2nd that year, I based my own car on that years car ( Sort of, lol )

@@CarTractionvids I won't post links on your channel, but if you are interested there is a documentary here on KZfaq, if you search for "Triumph Spitfire - 1965 Le Mans 24hrs (19th June 1965)", you should find it. I watched it again last night, they did very well . The le mans cars effectively then became the MK1 GT6 just with a 6 instead of 4 cylinder in them.

A fantastic video. I love these vintage car races. So much better than NASCAR. [ NASCAR has gone downhill for years.(and they are still losing a lot of fans).]. 🚗📻🙂
