I just bought a new 2023 frontier base model with the only option being technology package. $31k. I use it everyday because I have a lawn company and rv detailing business. Im thrilled with it. Its powerful, it has more options than I could have imagined my truck having 10 years ago so I try not to get caught up with all this truck craziness. I thought it would just be a work truck but I love it so much I dont even use my Infiniti anymore. I got all black, got some inexpensive black wheels, nice tint and a bed mat and Im good to go.

Probably also a $5K across the board price increase for new headlights, tail lights, tailgate, and tailgate step.

Have a F350 Tremor. If they could add that new bumper winch set up with camera relocate, the Pro Assist Tailgate, the bigger fuel tank and the "workstation" to the Super Duty...they would have killed it! Would have to have one! TELL FORD! lol!

I personally never liked the Platinum because I'm not a fan of all that chrome. I especially HATE the chrome mirrors and rims. Wish Ford would just do something different that this with the Platinum. On a positive note I LOVE the new features they standardized especially the 36gal fuel tank and the 12in infotainment.

Still like the GM tailgate and steps in bumper better. Unfortunately it bends lifters. I do like powerboost at same price as 3.5 EB. Is powerboost available on tremor, like trd pro? Ford messed up the tremor grill.

The 3.3 was Ford's most reliable truck engine by a large margin! My beater work truck was abused, rarely serviced and it still hit 200k with ZERO issues. You might say that's just one example, but outside of true neglect, the rest of our company trucks were almost trouble free as well.

As a Tremor owner, I love new the winch option. On my ´22 it’s a new bumper and intercooler relocation.

Please ask Ford why we can’t get the Black package with the Atlas Blue or Darkened Bronze exteriors. Customers who want those colors without ugly chrome seem to be out of luck. It may seem trivial, but when we’re dropping $80k for a truck we should be able to get any color we want with the Black package. Thanks as always for the excellent coverage, Truck King!

Love my 2021 f150 sport 2.7 turbo i gotten up to 35 mpg on cruise control at 70mph and i like how tje new one has bigger 36 gallon gas tank size easy to get over 1200 miles per tank maybe even more

Personally, I was fine with, and perhaps even prefered the first "remodel's" original grille and lights' styles. But I like the hybrid engines idea

Just like the new Super Duty’s front end the F-150s new front end definitely looks cheaper to manufacture if that makes sense but costs a lot more to buy.

I like the new front end end of the F150! I’m still not sold on the new Tundra front or rear! The fact that 90% of the ordering process was made more efficient is the best part.

Tailgate is symmetrical at least. Not so on the RAM where one side is larger than the other, which always looked off imo, so def better looking to my eyes.

front end styling looks extra cheap on the lower end models but super digging the screens are the same across all ranges. Great cost savings for them to only offer the 1 type of screen set

This was a useful topic. Good video! A few questions. Can you get the black appearance package as an option on the Platinum Plus? Do you know, do those Max Recline leather seats of the Platinum Plus still come with the massage and adjustable lumbar support, and is it as comfortable as the multi-contour massaging seats as comes with the Platinum? Too bad the Powerboost apparently only comes with the 26 gal tank instead of the 36 gal tank. Still not bad, but oh well. Oh, and one other question, exactly how much wider is the Raptor versus the Platinum? I thought it was 8"s, but then recently heard 6", but then previously I thought it was 5" wider on each side or a total of 10"s, can your clarify this specifically? I'm thinking about getting a Platinum and modifying it, and wondering if I do an offset, maybe adding fender flares, how close it might then get to the width of the Raptor. I love the width of the Raptor, but it's also my biggest concern.

Fantastic review on the 2024 F150 Ford truck. What Ford did was to take a winning combination and improve on it. Big fan of the grills and rear tailgate. I couldn't tell if the taillights were changed. Either way. They look great. Frankly The interior in the Platinum plus is nicer than most living rooms. Big fan of the bigger Infotainment screen. The new anti theft system. I also thought a rear bed scale was added to the F-150.for tracking bed loads. Nice job with the review

Simplifying makes sense but from what I have seen on line, they also got rid of the Heavy Duty Payload package and it appears that you can no longer get the extended cab with the 8' bed. These are both big deals for fleet buyers. Any idea why Ford patented F200??

They really missed on the Tremor headlights not being the same as the raptor/platinum/Lariat ones. I know it's supposed to be more 'rugged' but for that kind of cash, reflector headlights is extremely insulting.

So, has the maximum weight capacity of the tailgate when opened flat changed with the new "Pro Access" tailgate, is it less? And what is the max weight capacity of the two types of tailgates, and for that step on the original tailgate? Thanks. I have been unable to find those figures, and I'm a big guy who wants to be able to stand on the flat tailgate whichever version it is.

The F150 has just been officially released here in Australia. For 2023 the Ford Ranger is Australia's #1 selling ute (truck) out selling Toyota, Isuzu, Nissan etc. It'll be interesting with our cities narrower roads than US how the big brother F series is going to do.

36 gallon tank lowers towing capacity but the current max trailer tow pkg includes 36 gallon tank. Make it make sense.

Really great videos Steven thank you..but after watching this video and listening to Ford's development team, I can't help but feel Ford is moving base model trucks and folks looking for a simple honest pickup out of market. I appreciate the technological advances, but a lot of people are on the fence about the ecoboost engines and the base 6 cylinder at least offered a choice for those who don't tow heavy loads and wanted to keep costs down. The new Ranger won't be a salvo in that equation, and the Maverick is not A cross shop vehicle for folks who need the cargo space and bed space of a full size pick up. Are we to continuously rely on GMC and Chevrolet to offer more affordable base truck options? Do we wait for a new Ram Rampage if it even exists, to bridge the gap?

A thought, although I'm not entirely sure if it's true because I can't test it myself, but you can: I think the center single swing out door may also work for connecting a 5th wheel and/or gooseneck. The RAM had an offset 60/40 or similar split which may not work for this, possibly. ... just a thought!

When this generation came out the square stacked headlights reminded me of a square body Chevy so I actually kind of liked it in base trim without the weird led eye lashes. This refresh with the new bar across the center looks a lot more like a square body Chevy truck. I wonder if GM will take notice and sue. I gotta admit it, looks nicer than new chevy trucks. The fact that they offer regular cab short and long bed is making me consider one. I wish you could get a more base interior regular cab short bed Tremor. I might switch from Chevy to Ford if they did that.

I have been extensively playing with the 2024 F-150 Configurator. I am disappointed that the PowerBoost Hybrid is not available in the Tremor. I am hoping that this will be offered, but perhaps not anytime soon? One last grievance, the Pro Access tailgate also does not show up on the configurator. As for options simplification, keep in mind that Ford explicitly states that "Due to a combination of high demand and global supply-chain constraints, not all models and trims or features are available to order."

I wonder what reliabilty enhancements are made into the engines. Almost all ecoboost engines have issues with turbos and gasket leaks. I am on my second ecoboost F150 and leaks have been so expensive to fix. At average price of $54k for F150, you would hope engines would have solid performance well beyond 250k miles. Instead I am seeing engine issues start ramping up no matter how meticulous you maintian following maintenance schedules.
