Welcome to my garden in Central Illinois, zone 6a!
This video was primarily filmed for me to have to look back on in the winter time when I am desperately missing my garden. I spend all winter every winter watching other people's summer garden tours, but the garden I miss the most is mine. so I am throwing my own tour into the very flooded corner of KZfaq that is the gardening and homesteading corner.
I grow completely organically, though I'm not certified organic by any means.
Here at Old Rugged Cross Farm my husband Noah and I raise our own hogs, cattle and laying hens. One day you'll meet Roach the Horse, Minnie the Donkey and Denver the Mule. Or Bandit the trusty farm dog. Or one of the many barn kitties who like to double as pesky garden cats.
Everything is a little old and a little rugged, certainly wouldn't be featured in any homesteading magazines, but it's home. 🩶
