@@TerlinguaTalkeetna I think most here know the rules, just think they're complete BS. Personally, i'm not mad at him for taking the drop, anyone would in that scenario if they could, the problem is that they allow a drop because of a sprinkler head in thick knee high rough. A sprinkler that was so insignificant he even admitted that he wouldn't have even know it was there if he wasn't wearing metal spikes. No one wants to see tournaments won like that, and that is literally the only reason he won. He most likely would have shot at least 2 shots worse that hole if he had to play it. And thats not even mentioning him looking to whiff on a very dubious practice swing, however can give him the benefit of the doubt here as you are meant to take full swings when practicing in that type of terraine.

Congrats!! In the ISCO the winner was Harry Hall, just wondering did he made a practice swing and hit the ground in the hazard? I thought that is again the rule of golf. This was in 72nd hole.

cuz he said his stance was on a sprinkler head. they need to change that rule about getting two club lengths and/or add it that you can't improve your lie. golf takes pride in having integrity, but taking advantage of the rules for ones benefit is contrary to that ethos.

He only won bec. he got a free drop on the par-5 16th when he realized he was standing on a sprinkler head in rough so deep he could barely see his golf ball. He received a free drop in shorter grass and hit his approach from 248 yards to 6 feet for eagle to tie Adam Scott for the lead. He then birdired 18 to beat Scott by one. Scott got screwed!

Why omit the dubious drop on 16th for Macintyre? The drive landed in a horrible spot. Dp tour showed the drive but also omitted the drop. Kinda lost respect for Bob here and I had been rooting for him. Still better highlights over the course of the tournament here vs dp tour channel.

Many fine golfers don't learn how to finish off events early in their careers. Yeah, four rounds are so important to legacy results, hard to imagine Aberg will not learn to win with more regularity. Confidence is so huge in the 4th round. Why 4th round scoring is usually the highest, when it counts,
