I was surprised by how much I like this ski. Wasn't expecting to enjoy the light/stiff combo; while they are pretty harsh if you're drifting turns on rough snow, get them on edge and that feeling vanishes. They're very stable and very supportive; remarkably good carvers and easy to maneuver off piste. Hopefully I'll have to opportunity to try some other widths this winter, love the idea of the 87

Agree--the higher the edge angle, the better these Kore skis perform. Unless you're cool with skidding shallow edge turns, in that case they're great as well due to the light weight. I love my 93's.

I agree with everything you said. And bob's reply. I just spent three days in utah on mine. They did great at high edge angles. But didn't like some of my mid angle lazier turns. Light and easy to place off piste. Not smeary at all though...be aware. Really like these skis....

I will get them to see. From everything i see they may fit me. The front shape is stolen from DPS which I think was stolen from Souls, which happens to be 2 of my best skis ever.

There is some crossover in technology here for sure. Also Salomon QST 98 falls into this category.

@@SkiEssentials Wow, you're right. I had 2016 DPS Wailer 99 T2 Hybrids. Those were my favorite skis and I traversed American on them, but I lost one this season in Steamboat doing stupid stuff in their side country. Flying there on my birthday in June to find her, if I don't find her maybe that QST 98 will be it. On paper it looks the same.

I bought a 99 and would say if you are looking for a 50/50 ski the 105 is better due to the slight increase in rocker and more tip taper. Its looser but still a beast on a groomer for a 105. The 99 is more precise and a little quicker but its always wanting to turn. More of a groomer focused mid fat for sure. I think about 5% of Heads audience for this ski cares its 1800 and not 1900 or even 2000g and as such should blend the previous Monster construction with the current Kore. They would loose a few buyers and gain tons more

Maybe they'll move that way? Kore is getting on there in years, I bet we'll see some sort of change within the next two years likely.
