I made another video listing the things I love about this car. As a hybrid it's fantastic, but I don't think it deserves the Sport badge, not much "Sport" for this generation.

Lol basically, they should just drop the sport trim at this point, it's a good car but they took all the fun out of it

Though it can be argued that while it has less power on paper I would bet that in real life it's exactly the same if not better than the previous sport due to the instant power of the electric motor(s). Even my prius is pretty snappy right off the line considering it only has 76 hp lmao. The difference is you are much more limited in tuning potential than before. I don't like the look either- the last gen was the best looking accord yet.

Yea, definitely limited when it comes to tuning. I don't think anyone will be running to tune these lol. Even with the electric components it doesn't feel all that fast. The previous 2 generation Sport models had better 0-60 times than this one.

Glad they got rid of turbos. If you buy to own you know the turbo will definitely go out on you on any car

True but if maintained properly the turbo should last you a pretty long time.

You forgot hybrid batteries take a crap after 100k miles i think a turbo can last way longer then a battery as long as you do your oil changes every 3k miles

I do like it too, just wish there was a more "sport" oriented version. I made a video listing 5 things I like too btw, so not just bashing on it for no reason. If this was just the regular Hybrid trim I think it would be fantastic.

At least it is not using the L15 engine from the turbo variant that is actually developed as a Honda Fit engine from 2001.

The Sport trim was a 1.5T engine with 190hp for years & was their main seller. The 2.0T, was more costly & was not sold as much.

I made another video pointing out the 5 things I like about this car. It'd be perfectly fine if this was the standard Hybrid trim. But as the "sport" trim it's lacking compared to previous generations.

The problem too is in these regular sedans they put sport in it like it means something instead of making a pure sports sedan. Now they did it even worst get a hybrid drive train and then add some sport thing to it. Virtually butchering the name

No ambient lighting either, No moon roof, just a sunroof that is dated and old. Competitors have a full moon roof

First thing I don’t like about it is it’s a hybrid. Get out of here with that crap. Don’t call an electric vehicle or a hybrid a sports car. It’s not. Sports cars run on gas and you actually hear them. Secondly, this is Lighty behind the Nissan Altima in terms of looks and style. Thirdly, Honda is WAY overpriced.

@@alexs_wrex I do understand that you were comparing it to the last gen Sport model. I just find it humorous when people put a practical car, like the Accord, in a performance category. If it does that it's more of a bonus in my mind. The Accord was always just a well built, practical car.

@drumdoug8083 I agree w/ @alex_wrex that w/ the Accord it's more sport esthetics not per say a sports/performance vehicle, let it be what it is -a family sedan, daily driver... then it wouldn't be so much to dislike I own the Sport as well & it does what it needs to effectively & efficiently

I mean it doesn't really look ugly, looks like a 2016 Jetta from the front. Guessing if things don't look like a ferrari then they don't look beautiful? Just give it to me and i'll retire all of my life, thank you.

Lol you went 0-100 real quick. Ferrari is overrated in my opinion. It looks kind of bland. For a "sport" trim it does not look sporty or aggressive at all.

Pointless? I use them all them time - I hardly ever have to use the brake pedal and I'm charging the battery. This helps me achieve my average 53 mpg.
